"“I was shaking and almost vomiting,” ....

Stand witness to the power of Orwellian Media Programming, folks...

This guy has a near-psychotic breakdown because the media has told him that even seeing such a thing as a Confederate Flag" is politically-incorrect"!

"!984" was supposed to be a WARNING, not a Democratic Party Operations Manual.

It’s not criminally illegal, but obviously it offended this person. It causes some people a sense of being uncomfortable. Certainly the owner could preclude this merchandise.”

If this comment came from a Gay Pride Parade, calling the police will be a waste of time, they will be in the parade.

What’s with liberals and low information types calling 911 ??

This reminds me of numerous stories of calls to 911 when McDonald’s ran out of chicken mc nuggets. Do some people not really know what 911 is for, or really understand what is a life threatening emergency, as opposed to an annoyance, an annoyance which is not any sort of matter for police???

I used to think things like this were a prime example of Liberal insanity.

But now I look at it in a different perspective. This stuff is a devious way to chip away at whatever Liberals don't like.

One single instance of a nutty Liberal calling 911 over something he doesn't like sounds crazy, right?

But what about tens of thousands of Liberals complaining about the same thing over the course of several years?

That's how they win. Slow and steady. Incrementalism.

And, as usual, the person’s name is not publicly mentioned. Typical.

"!984" was supposed to be a WARNING, not a Democratic Party Operations Manual.

The movie, "Idiocracy" was supposed to be satire, not an instruction manual. I knew Connecticut can reject police applicants because they are too smart, I guess that applies to politicians, too.

These pusillanimous twits are everywhere. Man the hell up already! I can't imagine saying to anyone, "I was shaking and almost vomiting," about anything. He ought to get 'letters' that advice people about his proclivities. The bearer of these letters is characterized by an impuissance that might repulse.

I’m offended that Confederate memorabilia is being sold together with Nazi memorabilia!!!!

The Confederacy was an honorable cause. Nazism was not!!!!

Besides that, I’m one of the people who believes that the entire world would have been better off if the South had won!! Does anyone think that slavery in the South would have continued beyond the turn of the 20th century? (Remember Brazil.)

And there may not even have been a Nazi Germany if the South had won! Think about it!!!!

I’m offended by what I see on TV 24/7, so, I just don’t watch it. If she/he are offended by the sale of military memorabilia, just think how offended they may be watching the History/military channel. Awwww, we’ve become soooo sensitive to every thing these days, is there anything left to be sensitive to? Especially things of the far gone past. All this sensitivity at this point only distracts us to the real problems we face in this world that need more attention than ones sensitivity. We need more iron nerves and less sensitivity if we are going to survive. Lets remove all historical traces of the things that make people sensitive. Confederate flags, Custer Battle Ground, Ft Gordon, Ft Bragg, Ft Lee, and then lets take it over seas, remove the statues of all the Caesars, level the Colosseum, go to Egypt and level the pyramids and all the Pharaoh statues. All this smoke screen while we watch the world burn around us? Oh, lets not forget that forbidden name calling that is considered so insensitive, it truly hurts more than sticks and stones these days. I wonder if the complainer felt offended by the Soviet memorabilia? I think not. If I was the cop, I’d tell them to close their eyes or look the other way. I’ve heard some of the biggest collectors of Nazi memorabilia are probably Jewish, and they aren’t collecting items because they offend them and they aren’t disposing of them for a good reason. $$$$$ ...... What a F’up’d country we have become, and there is no improvement in sight. I thank God for letting me live in the best of times.

Just wait until school starts again and see the little Obama (Hitler) youth turing in their parents for thought crimes to their teachers. Worse yet, reporting any civil war related anything they have in the house.

The “purge” is coming and they will be standing at your door in the name of political correctness to ship your ass off to the re-education camps in California.

The most feared thing in your life will be SCHOOL TEACHERS since they will be the focal point in knowing what these little Obama youths report.

I grew up in Wallingford, and used to go to the Redwood Flea Market near the Yalesville area on the Hartford Turnpike regularly. Hundreds, if not thousands of people go there every week, and tables like this are pretty standard fare.

Wallingford isn’t generally caught up in the Confederacy stuff, and we have WWII collectors just like any place else. I will say that when the KKK decided to march in Wallingford a few decades ago a rock thrower did force at least one of the marchers to take off his hood.

The complainant sounds like he hasn’t been to many flea markets, Redwood or otherwise.

Matthew 24:10 And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another.

Sounds like the Left all right...

sinister (adj.)

early 15c., “prompted by malice or ill-will, intending to mislead,” from Old French senestre, sinistre “contrary, false; unfavorable; to the left” (14c.), from Latin sinister “left, on the left side” (opposite of dexter), of uncertain origin. Perhaps meaning properly “the slower or weaker hand” [Tucker], but Klein and Buck suggest it’s a euphemism (see left (adj.)) connected with the root of Sanskrit saniyan “more useful, more advantageous.” With contrastive or comparative suffix -ter, as in dexter (see dexterity).

The Latin word was used in augury in the sense of “unlucky, unfavorable” (omens, especially bird flights, seen on the left hand were regarded as portending misfortune), and thus sinister acquired a sense of “harmful, unfavorable, adverse.” This was from Greek influence, reflecting the early Greek practice of facing north when observing omens. In genuine Roman auspices, the augurs faced south and left was favorable. Thus sinister also retained a secondary sense in Latin of “favorable, auspicious, fortunate, lucky.”

Meaning “evil” is from late 15c. Used in heraldry from 1560s to indicate “left, to the left.” Bend (not “bar”) sinister in heraldry indicates illegitimacy and preserves the literal sense of “on or from the left side” (though in heraldry this is from the view of the bearer of the shield, not the observer of it).
