A Miami man who claims to be a “sovereign citizen” must serve a whopping 485 years in prison for repeatedly raping a 16-year-old and forcing her to cut herself as a form of punishment.
A judge this week handed down the sentence for E-Yage Bowens, a 40-year-old salesman who insisted that he was immune from U.S. laws. At one pretrial hearing, Bowens represented himself and even cross-examined the teenage victim, an honors student who is now bound for college on a scholarship.
At trial in May, jurors took less than three hours to convict Bowens of sexual battery and child abuse. Circuit Judge Stephen Millan handed down the stiffest sentence allowed for the convictions.
Miami-Dade police arrested Bowens in January 2011 after the girl told her mother that the man forced himself on her for months “for the purpose of teaching her how to connect through sexual energy with her future sexual partners.”
As punishment for disobeying him, Bowens also forced her to cut her hands and feet, prosecutor Laura Adams told jurors during trial. . .

Basically, when you reduce it all to its essential elements, he raped the girl BECAUSE HE WANTED TO. It's no different from his political belief: the man is libertine, and will not accept any form of social boundaries that conflict with WHAT HE WANTS TO DO at any given moment.
That's why this "sovereign citizen" BS is so very popular with some folks: they're unrestrictedly LIBERTINE and don't care about boundaries, obligations to others...they're SELFISH.
They cloak their selfishness in an ideology, to give it a semblance of legitimacy. They're AMORAL at heart.

As you can see in the linked article, they don’t say. They simply do not mention that he is Black or African-American or, for that matter, that he is native born, a citizen, legal resident, or illegal alien. (Spent nearly 10 minutes searching and can find nothing online indicating where he was born or his legal status. He’s got a long rap sheet, mostly suing others, so I suspect he’s somehow a US citizen or legal resident.)

So it took four and a half years to convict this guy in what appears to have been an open and shut case. This is one of the reasons rape cases are so tough on victims. This is one of the reasons the system is broken.

The article is far from informative. I clicked onto the link because I was curious about how this animal had access to the girl. Was he mom’t bf? A tutor? A neighbor? It gives no information.
Ah well. If he was illegal, I’d be still rapping on Jebby because of his statements on illegals.
