It is those who try to say the war was "all about slavery" who are the "revisionists" because that war could not possibly have been about slavery. It was about money, and the North's greed and quest for empire.
South Carolina's own
Articles of Secession don't agree with you - the main reason given for secession is because of the North's refusal to return escaped slaves, which South Carolina declares to be sufficient grounds to dissolve the Union. The same fixation with the issue of slavery is found in the secession declarations of multiple Confederate states.

Right. Right. Right. Nothing to do with perpetuating the right to enslave another human being.
Lord o' mercy.

To say that southern states did not have the right to secede from the United States is to say that the thirteen colonies did not have the right to secede from Great Britain. One cannot be right and the other wrong. If one is right, both are right. 1) Ireland seceded from the British empire
2) Norway seceded from Sweden
3) Texas seceded from Mexico
4) Portugal seceded from Spanish rule
5) Panama seceded from Columbia

Civil War started 4/12/1861
Emancipation Proclamation signed 1/1/1863.
If the Civil War was actually about slavery shouldn't the EP have been signed a lot sooner?

No I don't. Not sure what that has to do with anything. The Lone Star flag was created before Texas was admitted into the Union. If Cuba ever became a state, I assume the state flag would stay the same.
The Confederate flag was created specifically to denote its separation from the US.

It was the south that went to war over slavery. They stated so rather unambiguously. It was the north who went to war because the south had gone to war against them.

In four of those five cases the separation was done only after a war. And only because those wanting to leave won.

In these highly troubled times it seems as though the Stars and Stripes represents a foreign country. Inch by inch the nation has been taken over by a rabble that has close links to Satan.

These ships were built in New England...someone should get the history of "trade" all "trade" correct...Northern colonies made the ships that brought indentured people to the Southern states.....the Northern Negros had slaves as well as Native Americans had slaves etc. In some parts of the world, there is slavery today. But for the race pimps and activists, this part of early colonial history would be put to rest.

You need to reread the SC articles. Most of its time discussing slavery is about the insistence of the new government in the North at using the courts to overturn part of the Constitution. Georgia’s was over the North trying to end slavery by decree, when it is in the Constitution. Texas, the Feds taking sides in a fight where both sides were codified in the Constitution. The other states did not mention slavery at all.

And should the EP have freed the slaves in the territory where Lincoln actually held sway?

Go check history in the thirty years after the Civil War...it got brought out for the funerals of guys who passed on after the war....otherwise, it was not such a big public deal. That changed around 1912-era with significant rise of Democratic Party in the South. Resurgence in south enthusiasm and symbolism came during the Wilson-era.
