Sen. Tom Cotton (R-AR) denounced the Iranian nuclear deal hailed by President Obama early Tuesday morning, calling it a mistake. This proposed deal is a terrible dangerous mistake thats going to pave the path for Iran to get a nuclear weapon while giving them tens of billions of dollars of sanctions relief, he said in an interview on MSNBCs Morning Joe.
Cotton, a freshman senator, has made his opposition to the deal the center of his emerging political career.
He described Iran as an outlaw, terrorist sponsoring, anti-American regime and criticized the deal for leaving its nuclear program intact.

How is Congress going to kill it? It takes 2/3 of each House to kill it now because McConnell and the Republicans gave Hussein a guarantee that approval or disapproval will be just an ordinary act of congress that is subject to a normal Presidential Veto and they cannot get enough Democrats in the Senate and probably not in the House to override.

If this is not a treaty, but simply legislation, then it can be undone with future legislation.
A candidate should run on a a platform of repeating this legislation.

I don't think we are "giving" Iran money, not as part of the agreement, but we are allowing Iran access to Iranian funds sequestered by sanctions in non Iranian banks. Actual foreign aid will come later. We are, however, apparently promising to send American scientists and engineers to help Iran develop its bomb peaceful generation of nuclear energy.

Under the deal they already passed if Congress tries to kill Obamas Iran capitulation deal then Obama can veto and it will only take 34 Democrats in the Senate to prevent an override. In other words, the Republicans pre-folded on this deal weeks ago. Can't say they don't have foresight.

Meanwhile, has OZERO called Kathryn Steinle’s parents and offered his condolences for their daughter being murdered due to his incompetence? Not hardly. You can bet your ass that if she had been black he would have already called the murder a hate crime, called the parents and said everything would be done to see that justice is done.
But, no, this pathetic muslim nothing would rather sell-out the country to his muslim brothers.

When the deal survives it will be because of the Republicans who gave up the power of ratification of treaties.

If it is not a treaty, and it is not a bill legislated by Congress, then it does not have the force of law.
The states could go to the Supreme Court to argue that Congress does not have the authority to give away its power to the Executive the way that McConnell's negative approval scheme does.

You know what’s funny, I remember when Mark Levin started off on radio, I think it was around 2006, and he said something to the effect of “When it comes to terrorists, Republicans want to fight them Democrats want to put them into office” And this was years before anyone even heard of Obama. And when Obama was elected, and I saw what he was doing in office, I said to myself “My God, Levin was right”. And something my brother pointed out, the name Osama Bin-Laden looks an awful lot like Obama-Biden. Coincidence or was it done on purpose? The bottom line is we have an Islamic enemy agent as President, the evidence is beyond overwhelming and Congress does absolutely nothing about it and as a result yesterday humanity signed its death warrant.

As usual with Obama, up is down.
Killing the deal, or repealing it later, will be spun as an act of war against Iran. This treaty doesn’t prevent Iran from getting a weapon, it prevents anyone from stopping them.
Also, you notice that instead of a treaty requiring 2/3 approval from congress, they have worked this around to require 2/3 of congress to override it. They have reversed it.

Either Cotton is lying or he's stupid. The fix is in. This deal will not be treated as a treaty...which it IS...so it is not subject to Senate approval. To stop the deal both Houses of Congress will have to pass legislation to that effect, which obama will promptly veto. That veto will not be overridden. Thus every GOP congress-con gets to cast an absolutely inconsequential vote against the deal, and go on Fox News and scream and shout about it, while doing absolutely NOTHING to actually impede obama's efforts to nuclear arm iran.
And they wonder why Donald Trump is resonating so strongly with voters...

Since he’s due to visit a federal prison later this week, why not just keep him from leaving until the arraignment.

If Congress would at least tie it up for a week or so, ‘twould be great.
By that time, Iran will have thought of another demand, or broken a rule, or done some sort of acting out that will kill it outright.
Tie it up, stop it, delay it,,whatever it takes.
