I’m just curious: Since video of an illegal chokehold being used is not proof of an illegal chokehold being used then what would either of you consider to be ‘proof’ of such a thing?
The video shows it wasn’t a chokehold. Post 12 may help you out.
He was a heart attack waiting to happen. The hold was not a chokehold; you can not say “I can’t breathe” while in a chokehold (you can’t say anything). Had he calmly submitted to the appropriate arrest, he might still be alive today, if his heart didn’t give out by now.
No, he didn’t deserve to die, but no, his family does not deserve that kind of settlement either.
