Michelle Malkin had a column long long ago titled "I will not submit".

It was headlined in arabic lettering.

Sort of reminds me of that.

What was the attribution if you don't mind me asking?

If anyone hears a decent source on the Trump/Cruz meeting particulars, kindly ping me.

Much appreciated. Have a great day.

Not trying to be too hard on Perino, but when she speaks it’s either easily discernible as Bush advocacy, but most of the time, she’s so measured in her comments that her comments amount to nothing.

As opposed to Greg Gutfeld who is unmeasured and says nothing.

And then there is Rove who should be required to wear his white board around his neck with “I’m spouting Bush talking points” writ large in bold letters.

I thought Fox was going to have a get-well card signing this morning for 41, who fell and cracked a bone.

I don't expect to hear anything publicly ...

The Washington comPost also spoke to several Republicans after both campaigns declined to comment. Knowledgeable party members said the two see one another as “fellow travelers,” and Trump may use Cruz to help fend off attacks. (or vice versa?)

We'll be dependent upon CEW's inside connections for real scoop ...

It wasn’t a total loss, Rove was able to keep 10-20% of that $400 million.

Pray America is waking

Karl Rove is all about arrogance & rote. He is a virtual moron in terms of analytic ability, and has been setting back Republicans in general, but Conservative Republicans in particular, at least since the mishandled 2000 election campaign, where we virtually lost the skin off our teeth in creeping by the flawed Al Gore/Lieberman ticket.

That one looks to Rove for leadership is a clear admission of inadequacy by the "looker."

Consider Karl Rove Revisited; or 2006 Republican Disaster.

I’ve been had before; by Dole and McCain and Romney. I had nobody else to choose; nowhere else to go.

Right now I have choices, and one of them is right on top of MY OWN thoughts and opinions. I believe he’s sincere. If not, he’ll be on the crap list of the Friends of Abe in Hollywood, the parents and bereaved loved ones of illegal aliens’ victims whom he has led to believe that he’s in it to win; plus a growing throng of folks like me who believed him.

IF he is not genuine and sincere, and some day chucks it all and waves bye-bye; where is he going to hide from the shame. How can be ever again claim any right to be respected and believed?

Sure we can do without both. We just need a conservative candidate who speaks truth to power and doesn’t back down. Preferably one who can take a consequent $50Million hit in 1 month for taking such hardline stances. Well, anyone? Anyone at all? Bueller?

After amassing $11 Billion, Trump is moving on to a more important mission with which to finish out his lifetime.

Yup, that’s the most likely motivation. It obeys Occham’s Razor.

I’m reminded of a few times when guys with very high name recognition dipped their toes in the political water. 1 was Schwarzenegger, a political novice who used his name recognition in a popularity contest. He won. Same with Jesse Ventura. (Of course, Schwarzenegger was no conservative, but he didn’t really claim to be.)

The other was Fred Thompson, who had the political credentials as a former senator and name recognition as a TV star, but he lacked what one freeper called “fire in the belly”. He lost.

Now we have someone with “fire in the belly”, a Yuge bankroll, high name recognition, and a crowded field that lends itself back to that popularity contest dynamic. As long as he sticks to his guns & doesn’t deliver an unrepairable gaffe, he’s on the yellow brick road.

Agree. A week or more ago, in answer to a question along the lines of, “How much money does Trump need?” I opined that I thought it was approximately $9 Billion. That was one of the estimates of Trump’s wealth. My thought is that after 7, 8, 10 Billion or so, and heading down the back side of life’s mountain, Trump has had a sea change in his thoughts and motivations.

He’s still a wheeler and dealer, but why waste any more of his precious remaining years chasing more personal $$$? He’s a negotiator par excellence, but he wants to use his skills for a higher calling.

In striving to make deals wherein America wins, and in STRENGTHENING our military and caring for our valient veterans who have been screwed over for do long, he’s a patriot of sorts. By standing up for the victims of illegal aliens’ murder and mayhem, and in scrapping the ACA and replacing it with free market price competition between all states and insurance companies so that everyone can afford health insurance like auto insurance, he’s a humanitarian.

I believe THAT is what is motivating Mr. Trump as he heads onto the golden western slopes of life.

Ted could not take a $50M hit this month. He’d only have $3M left. Let’s say it were $55M instead. He would need to borrow money for cab fare home. But I like your spunk for Cruz.

“I hope this momentary schadenfreude we are all enjoying doesn’t bite us in the butt later, for now I’m just going to soak it in.”
I really agree with you on that concern but look at the alternative of more meaningless mush from the “kinder gentler” as this country, its borders , sovereignty and morality circle the drain into oblivion. I can totally support any candidate but bush ,christie or rubio. They must be marginalized and push out. I am finished with conservative -lite. No MAS.

So what you're saying is your ideal matchup would be Trump vs. Soros? Two candidate unbeholden to any donors?

If you want to see the evil of Karl Rove ,you have to look at the McDaniel race in Mississippi. Here in the American Spectator analyses but is was actually worse than they describe as blacks were paid to cross over even after the had already voted in the Democrat primary. It was a blatant sabotage of a wonderful conservative endorsed by Ted Cruz.

We will never forget. We will get even.

I thought I had posted a reply but I don’t see it.

No, that is not my ideal race. But it depends upon which ideal you’re going for, ideal for both sides or just our side? For one thing, Soros is not a declared candidate, so I would restrict my choices to that. For another, I’ll stick with “ideal for our side”. That would be Cruz vs. Sanders, and Cruz vs. Biden if he declares.

I recall not long after George Bush was elected and then he announced NAFTA and later that Mexican truckers could cross over etc. Almost immediately the interstates were packed with trucks side by side and 2-4 in a convoy. I blame Bush for the Mexican invasion as about 2003 they started working on new construction here.
