I am a devout Catholic. My faith is very important to me.

If so then you will understand that greed, avarice and idolatry of money are sins. So you shouldn't have a problem with what Pope Francis says here, since it is no different from what any other pope said about greed, avarice and idolatry.

"Once capital becomes an idol and guides people’s decisions, once greed for money presides over the entire socioeconomic system, it ruins society, it condemns and enslaves men and women, it destroys human fraternity"

Do you think John Paul II was a “bad Pope”? How about St. Peter?

The article you posted says JPII was a bad pope. It suggests that he was an apostate.

Totally agree with you. Now how do we get rid of this Marxist Pope? As a Catholic, I say don’t give any money to the Church, and let them know why. Hit them where it hurts, and they may do something about this Pope. Does anyone else have any ideas?

You've nailed the problem...how to get rid of this anti-Pope. The only way I know would be for him to die or resign the office. I don't see either of those. People could stop tithing to the church, but I don't see many taking this approach. I just don't know how to fix this problem...and Pope Francis is a cancer eating away at the body of the Catholic Church. The cancer is growing.

“John Paul II was rather unlike Francis in his vehement rejection of Liberation Theology (as memorialized in that iconic image of the Holy Father wagging his finger at Fr. Ernesto Cardenal on the tarmac in Nicaragua), the foundation upon which both men's social convictions rests is the same; namely, the post-conciliar model wherein the Social Kingship of Christ has been supplanted by the so-called “primacy of the human person.””

This is what the article said. It did not say “JPII was a bad Pope”.

The article was incorrect in saying Pope Francis has taken JPII’s concepts too far. Pope Francis’s concepts are strict Marxist-Leninist-Stalinist with a little Castro and Hugo Chavez thrown in.

Pope Francis was not criticizing the flaw of greed in the individual. He was saying free enterprise economies were evil. He was saying people who work hard and try to improve life for themselves and their families are evil.

This philosophy has been the number one cause of human suffering and human misery in the last century. From the former Soviet Union to Eastern Europe to China,North Korea, Indochina and Cuba is has been the most destructive force in history.

Look at Pope Francis admiring the blasphemy of our Savior Jesus Christ on the greatest symbol of evil in the modern world, the hammer and sickle.

It did not say “JPII was a bad Pope”.

The article says that "apostasy" is the logical conclusion of JPII's pontificate.

"...it is more obvious now than ever just how much [Francis] and John Paul II have in common. In fact, I would argue that the aforementioned papal shenanigans in Bolivia provides solid evidence that Francis is simply carrying the failings of Pope John Paul II closer and closer to their logical conclusion; all out apostasy."

Pray for him and realize that most of the stories we get about him are false.

Zenit is the best bet.

“Francis is simply carrying the failings of Pope John Paul II closer and closer to their logical conclusion; all out apostasy.”

I disagree with the article in its contention that Pope Francis is taking the teachings of Pope John Paul II too far and that that is the problem. That is simply not so. Pope Francis is influenced by Marxism and Castro and Chavez.

The article did not say JPII was a bad Pope. It did make the accusation that JPII had an influence on Pope Francis’ socialist tendencies. That accusation is wrong.

This attack on free enterprise and personal freedom has been standard Communist propaganda for decades. Free societies like the United States are based on greed. Countries like the former Soviet Union truly care about the good of the people.

Pope Francis is merely parroting Communist propaganda.
