Donald Trump Thinks Rick Perry Should Take ‘IQ Test’ Before Presidential Debate
The Wrap ^ | July 17, 2015 | Jordan Chariton

Another day, another Donald Trump doozie.

The presidential candidate, who’s soared to No. 1 among Republican presidential candidates in the latest Fox News poll, attacked opponent Rick Perry’s intelligence on Twitter Thursday.

“.@GovernorPerry just gave a pollster quote on me. He doesn’t understand what the word demagoguery means,” Trump tweeted.

He followed up with a proposal: “.@GovernorPerry failed on the border. He should be forced to take an IQ test before being allowed to enter the GOP debate.”

Trump’s tirade against the former Texas governor came after Perry tweeted: .@realDonaldTrump-ism not conservatism but a toxic mix of demagoguery and nonsense.”

Trump also tweeted his ire at Senator John McCain, who was the Republican nominee for president in 2008.

“The thousands of people that showed up for me in Phoenix were amazing Americans. @SenJohnMcCain called them “crazies” — must apologize!” he tweeted.

Trump then insulted McCain’s intelligence: “.@SenJohnMcCain should be defeated in the primaries. Graduated last in his class at Annapolis — dummy!”

Actually, these days that makes him perfect for the Republican Party.

He doesn't deserve conservative support. Yet many around here want to give it to him anyway. And the Republican nominee is the only way we have of defeating Hillary. We need a conservative as the nominee, not a lifelong liberal who continues to support socialized healthcare.

He’s not worth 10 billion. He has severely underperformed with the fortune his father handed to him.

I can see the campaign poster now --

DONALD TRUMP 2016. DOING FOR AMERICA WHAT HE DID FOR ATLANTIC CITY.

Because today’s media is not the media of Reagan’s time. They are much more nakedly partisan now. Trump won’t get votes from the middle if the middle doesn’t know what he stands for.

The debates will fix that.

Name the dozen books. Name the business school that it's required reading in. Tijuana state? Only Trump says it's required reading. Art of the Deal became a laughing stock because he required multiple bailouts to stay solvent a year or two after it was written.

He is not worth $10 billion.

Absolutely. Perry Slandered Trump. That makes Perry a loser.

IQ tests were designed by Malthusians to find the right kind of automatons and weed out the undesirables.

While I agree Perry should have worked better to not make it easy for illegal immigrants, the US border needs to be secure and that is the role of the Federal Government.

The illegals should not have the access they have, forcing the states to deal with that population.

Trumps comment I was responding to was on the border, not the mess left from the lack of border.

I’m not a Jeb Bush fan, for multiple reasons.

Look at the quote from Trump’s original press conference. He most definitely did not say SOME ILLEGAL ALIEN Mexicans. So stop trying to spread falsehoods to protect a liberal.

I don't care if it's $1 billion. He is not where he is today because of a lack of intelligence, plain and simple.

Compare that to Sarah Palin, everyone’s darling. I know, I know. She was loyal, returning the favor, and all that other ole’ boy stuff that makes the Republican Party a bloated waste of space.

Name the business school that it's required reading in.

Maybe he means Trump's own scam university.

He said SOME ARE GOOD PEOPLE.

And BTW I don't support Trump for the nomination.

Perhaps you similar to Perry need an IQ test, both of you spreading falsehoods.

The “role” of the house and senate is nothing like what they’re actually doing. Nor will their constitutional role ever be fulfilled until we get a true opposition party. In light of that fact, shouldn’t governors do something to protect the people in their states? I sure wish they would. Don’t you?
