How are they “entitlements” when 96% of them did nothing to earn them? We keep using the Left’s vocabulary and keep wondering why we lose most of the time. How about “welfare, assistance, hand-outs, charity” or other appropriate terms? Social Security Retirement, Medicare, Veteran’s benefits and a few other programs can be looked at as “entitlements” since the recipient did something or paid in something to earn them. Most of the rest is pure welfare gibmedats.
Commit suicide to protect it. They cannot win.

Watched an episode of American Experience about the 1977 Blackout in NYC. It started at 9:30PM and by 2:00AM the next morning, about 1500 businesses had been looted and burned. This was not a food or money shortage, just an electrical failure.
Get out of the city. Now.

Look at the uptick in crime simply caused by the devaluation of the dollars used to dole out freebies; people receiving the same amounts as last year are watching it buy a lot less (and they are trying to compensate with five-finger discounts). The Wal-Mart in my town is constantly in the local paper with stories of gibsmedats shoplifting; a nearby Dollar General is starting to see the same (we are between Newark and Jersey City, NJ).
The “gibmedats” will riot in the urban areas and the current gummint is counting on the flyover Murrikans to exhibit compassion [and open their wallets!].
Not gonna happen.
The “urban” revolt demanding Santa Clause show up every 2 weeks will be set aside.

If taken away all at once, most likely. Take away a little at a time or step down the pay outs, less likely.
I would pay to see some obese Wal-Martians riot. They can barely move one foot in front of the other. Some of them I would judge to be in there 20’s. 30’s at most. In fact, i’m not sure I could tell if they’re rioting or not because I doubt if they could put forth any effort.
What I am saying is they won’t take entitlements away. Instead they will ruin the economy by printing more money out of thin air.

Entitlements won’t be taken away. The inner city residents won’t come rampaging out into the suburbs or the country.
Entitlements will be reduced. The Democrat politicians will threaten and cry and scream to satisfy their voters.
I think that Obama has screwed everything up so bad that it’s going to take a lot of hard work to fix things.
I think the easiest way to fix this would be to task the next Vice-President with a real job. Clean up the Executive Branch.
This would be a job for somebody with executive experience like a businessman or a Governor.
With ruthless enforcement.
It's actually three questions you should ask:
* How soon will we see the riots start;
* Who will the rioters be; and
* What will be the effect and response?

I will start with the strict definitions. Welfare is something given to someone who qualifies by being under a set poverty level. Entitlements are something you qualify for by fogging up a mirror. What do you call something like SS and Medicaire that people pay a lot less in than they eventually take out. Lets be honest, most senior citizens take out way more than they ever paid in over their life times. It is a ponzi scheme, however the baby boom generation did not produce enough kids to keep the whole grift rolling.
