Last week, Rep. Lois Capps (D-Calif.) introduced a bill that would remove the words husband and wife from the language used in federal lawa move that had drawn ire from faith leaders and family advocacy groups that see this legislation as expected fallout from the U.S. Supreme Courts ruling in June that same-sex couples have a constitutional right to marry.
It is as if a collective madness has settled over our nation's elite and they are trying hard to bring everyone under the same cloud of confusion, Bishop E.W. Jackson, president of STAND (Staying True to Americas National Destiny), told CNSNews.com. They can change 1,000 laws and 10,000 dictionaries.
Marriage was, is and always will be only a union between one man and one woman, Jackson said. If the emperor has no clothes, it matters not that the whole world compliments him on his outfit.
Perceptions change, but reality remains the same, he added. I will oppose any effort to sanitize our legal system of the words husband and wife.

All this, for one tiny portion of our population, is the beginning of a very sliperly slope.
They already took God out of school what difference does it make? /sarc....
It’s the Democrats Jihad on Christianity.
I now pronounce you two faggots legally married! Call each other what you wish.
The DemocRAT party: The ISIS Left.
For the male homosexuals, I now pronounce you top and bottom.
No more "Mom" and "Dad", or "Husband" and "Wife".
To Democrats they are just "pitcher" and "catcher".
How fitting to go so far out of the way just to cater to 1% of the population! Imagine if Lois actually cared about the majority of her district?
It pisses me off to hear one man call another husband. So ban it.
Sure; make it all like a communist state, right?
Given the federal governments constitutionally limited powers, I suspect that federal laws that include the words husband and wife are probably unconstitutional anyway. In other words, dont just stop with getting rid of traditional, family-centered language in such laws in order to win votes from low-information LGBT voters, but void such laws too.
Someone else who sees that the country suffers from a collective psychosis.
Are the Republican’ts going along with this bill?
Why, I’m sure it would be MEAN of them not to!
All this, for one tiny portion of our population, is the beginning of a very sliperly slope. There is no "slippery slope".
