Earlier, 2016 presidential contender Donald Trump made a very ignorant statement about senator and Vietnam POW John McCain that may have greatly hurt his chances at the White House.
Trump said he favors people that werent captured in war.
Heres the Donalds follow up
Theres no doubt that McCain is a Republican in name only, but I feel Trump lost a good portion of potential voters by disparaging a member of our armed forces.
Donald can say he is fighting for our Veterans, and Im sure he supports them now and would as president also, but this may be hard to walk back.
Thoughts?
Not yet, but the night is young!
Hold on.
Sorry, if it’s true that McCain turned down early release, he is most definitely a hero.
You can hate the man and/or his politics, but under what definition would he not be considered a hero?
I can agree with most of Trump’s positions, but when he puts McCain down for his service, while repeatedly avoiding his service, Trump is being an ass.

Trump has now made conservatives (like me) want to remind everyone what a great man McCain is for so honorably serving his country.
And.....
Not sure what she, as a 'former..." for Cruz has any relevance. I guess one cold stretch it ans claim some mildly sour grapes if they think she's also slapping at ted and really really distort it if one thinks it means that Cruz secretly hates Trump and worships McCain.
The statement has no relevance that i can see - unless one is trying to find a wedge issue to mislabel then blow the mislabeled "issue" out of proportion.
If I missed something, feel free to educate me - I've only had 1/4 cup of coffee so far.
Lol....only on one-half a cup, here, so far.
I don’t think you’ve missed anything. I was trying to figure out why she entered the fray, as well. What benefit does her comment serve to her, Ted (as former campaign staff member), or to conservatives...like me? I just find it strange that she commented, at all. (Maybe a “Look at me! Look at me! moment?)
I’m surprised FOXNEWS isn’t demanding that Trump apologize to Jeb about what he said about McCain...they’re so obvious it’s disgusting!
