The more we discuss McCain and his failings, the less we speak of illegal immigration.
McCain is the shiny object to distract us because they know conservatives will hit that bait, rain or shine.
However, the conservative fish must learn to avoid the trolling fisherman.
Trump should try to learn to avoid it as well.
The problem with El Niño is that it is followed by La Niña.
That was what happened the last time we had a major El Niño.
Trump is the troller in this case. He presents the problems we all know, but provides no solutions.
He gets people to rally around him because he is taking a step further than the other politicians seem to be but identifying a problem is just the first step. Putting a solution to work is the next step. I have not heard a solution from him.

RE: lack of federal stats on ILLEGAL alien crime
Apparently GAO had to use the FBI Integrated Automated Fingerprint Identification System (IAFIS) to unearth data from which criminal statistics for ILLEGAL aliens could be extracted -- crime data routinely available in FBI UCR, and NIBRS for all others. And apparently it was done in response to the demand of Congress to find data.

The leaders believe that the Constitution can be abrogated by treaties and international agreements.
The people are not paying attention.

Why is the President of the US the only authority for whether the flag is flown at half-mast? Why will he not honor the fallen 5 from Chattanooga?

John McCain was a POW for 5 1/2 years. He has to be saluted for that. Rumors were that he did break under duress/torture.There's no telling what was said to whom and who was effected.Hard to say which of us would have broken and who would have not.
That being said when McCain was released from years of torture under a brutal communist regime instead of going after the commies worldwide he came after conservatives. He is still coming after us today. That pretty much says it all for him. As far as Trump goes he will self destruct.It's just a matter of time.He has the "hoof in mouth disease" and can't get rid of it.

The drivebys are just salivating for a gotcha moment with Trump they will get it even if they have to make it up. Trump did change the venue of debate between the Republicans running for office. We are now debating all the abuses and screw ups of the Chicago regime for the past six years.
We are finally talking about Obamcare, illegal immigration, border control, bad trade deals with china, bad deals with iran and many other issues that should have been on the chalk board all along. We have Donald Trump to thank for that and we should while he is still around.
