A Golden Nugget Hidden in the Trump Spectacle
American Thinker ^ | July 22, 2015 | Lloyd Marcus

Posted on 07/22/2015 5:26:09 AM PDT by EXCH54FE

I know, I know. As a veteran political activist, I am supposed to be extremely upset with Donald Trump, out there saying what some on both sides of the political aisle consider to be outrageous things.

But folks, I cannot help myself. It is thrilling to watch someone in the arena of ideas not playing the game according to the dictates of the Left. For far too long, our anti-America enemies on the Left have been allowed to set the rules of engagement. The Left dictates what truths we can say out loud, what words we are permitted to use and what is racist or mean.

Please note. I am neither supporting nor opposing Trump's comments. I am celebrating Trump's refreshing unprecedented fearlessness in dealing with the iron-fist out-of-control bullying tactics of the Left/MSM.

I guess it goes back to my childhood living on the mean-streets of Baltimore projects. I detested bullies. They were cowards and mean opportunists. My cousin Jimmy, who loved to fight, taught me the power of a strong military. I was small as a child. When bullies took my lunch money, cousin Jimmy ended the problem. Nothing serious happened, but the bullies knew not to mess with Jimmy's cousin, Peanut (my nickname).

I view the mainstream media and their Leftists partners as the ultimate bullies, whipping Americans into submission, silencing our right to free speech. It sticks in my craw that daring to state an opinion other than the Left's combined consensus on an issue means your derriere is grass.

“Do you really think she needed anything but the status quo to win by default?”

The status quo to win — AND rampant, sophisticated fraud in the polling places.

No matter what happens on the Republican side, or how perfect our candidate, we should not expect to take the White House. We might win technically, but the results won’t reflect that.

In the last elections some precincts counted more Democrat votes in a precinct than there were registered voters. Black Panthers engaged in intimidation all over the place. I think it was James O’Keefe who went undercover to record on tape someone telling him how the Dems cheat (in PA, maybe?) People’s votes for Romney magically switched to votes for Obama — and they watched it happen. The ever-present dead people voted. Dems voted multiple times in various precincts. Everybody knew it was going on and NOBODY DID ANYTHING ABOUT IT!

Trump’s not one to sit back and be crapped on. I believe that if he were our candidate, he’d fight like hell when these abuses occurred.

I agree with Lloyd Marcus. While I love Trump’s disruption of the status quo, I do not think he will be the Republican nominee. That will be Jeb (the man with no last name). But that really does not matter since there is no way the Republicans can beat Hillary or who or whatever the Democrats run.
Too many lies and false campaign promises. Too much Washington Kabuki theater. Too much visceral hatred of Tea Party conservatives.

A Good read—every member of the GOP should read this. Trump deserves his high marks for standing up to the Liberals and the RINOs and the MSM. I for one, am sick of the false “Outrage” and race baiting, and class baiting (used so well on Mitt Romney). We must face down the haters!

This is sound reasoning on your part, and makes good sense. Trump is too egotistical to bail out and want to withstand the damage this would do to his legacy.

As much as I admire and love Cruz, I just don’t think it’s his time yet. He’s too new and I’m just not sure that people want to take a chance on another Senator this next election. It seems people want either a governor or a businessman who has some actual executive experience. I’m not saying that Cruz wouldn’t do a great job as President, I just think the mood in this country has shifted dramatically since 2008.

The candidates Trump is destroying are the ones who followed the dictate to ridicule and marginalize him.

Exactly.

We shall see, after the 1988 Election of Poppy Bush I became from Missouri so “SHOW ME”!

Good Lord man, at this stage of the process what more COULD he show you?

One of the en vogue terms for members of the the Left is “Social Justice Warrior” (SJW).

John Ringo, a science fiction author who found himself involved in the whole “Sad Puppies” campaign said it would be more appropriate to call them SJBs, for Social Justice Bullies.

“Do you really think she needed anything but the status quo to win by default?”

The moneychangers in the temple already determined the 2016 race would be between Hillary and Jeb with Hillary winning in another historic election - the first female president. The Bush and Clinton families are friends. Bill and George W were yucking it up a few weeks ago on camera. Last year Jeb gave Hillary an award. It has all been prearranged and Jeb will probably end up with a cabinet seat so Hillary can begin her reign with a magnanimous bipartisan gesture. Hillary has no need to bring Trump in to play the spoiler because when the outcome has been predetermined, there is no need to bring in the sideshow.

I have no idea whether Trump’s motives are noble or if he truly is a wolf in sheep’s clothing. What I do know is the issues he is raising would not be at the forefront of the political debate if he wasn’t in the race. I also know he is demonstrating it is possible to stand up to political correctness and the a leftist media onslaught. If nothing else perhaps he will teach a lesson to other politicians who haven’t seen anyone stand up to the progressive machine since Ronald Reagan. From this perspective his participation in the process has been positive.

We are over a year before election day 2016. There is plenty of time for all of this to play out. In the meantime, I’m enjoying the show.

My thoughts are if he were to do that, he would serious jeopardize his brand, and people won’t want to do business with someone who screwed them. Plus he needs to protect the brand and legacy of his kids who will run his empire after him.

Trump is 69, and worth $billions. He doesn't really need his brand. He could park his money in a mutual fund and retire, and he would still have more money than he, his children, and his great grandchildren can spend in all their lifetimes.

Supposedly-smart people don't consider that Trump has his "F--- you" nest egg (watch the youtube). They don't realize that he is free to do what he wants, purely for his own satisfaction. He is free of having to care about what the world thinks of him.

Consider the obvious, the possibility that Trump, a man with 5 children and a bunch of grandchildren, wants an America where his descendents can prosper and have a good life.

honestly... Trump is building one of the most effective, efficient presidential campaigns behind the scenes. he intends to win, he is not used to losing. Personally, I think he would make a great CEO for America. He might do for this country what he has done for Doral, etc... At the least he will help the RINO’s to understand the frustration and anger of the ‘silent majority’. Give it some more thought... and follow the Donald on Twitter and Facebook

The optimistic side of me tells me that is his motivation.

Go Donald and bury this bs path to losing to the liberals:

It is thrilling to watch someone in the arena of ideas not playing the game according to the dictates of the Left. For far too long, our anti-America enemies on the Left have been allowed to set the rules of engagement. The Left dictates what truths we can say out loud, what words we are permitted to use and what is racist or mean.

Cuing the anti Trump Trolls to tell us how dumb we are and then try to frame the rules of the road to losing.

Perot folded when he was threatened then tried to come back. I don’t see Trump folding when threatened.
