Given the cop has a hispanic last name, how much does the left really want to push this?

The Black Lives Matter activists are really pushing this. Understand that small police department has received some death threats. If she hadn’t mouthed off she may have gotten off with just a warning but she let her mouth overload her a**. Not a good idea, regardless of who you are or what color you are.

....

He’s obviously one of those very rare white Hispanics, like George Zimmerman.

I’m worried that people think it’s in now their right to resist arrest. To argue with a cop as to the righteousness of their arrest. To refuse to step out a car, or put hands up, or sit down when instructed, or whatever.

Or to put out an offensive cigarette two feet away, especially when politely asked, and by a cop.

Maybe because I’m a lawyer I know that you never resist arrest. Ever. It becomes a new crime if you do, even if the original violation is deemed later to be groundless. You just comply and argue it later. The street is not a court room.

Don’t they teach this in schools anymore?

He said ‘I’ll light you up’ instead of ‘I’ll taser you.’ Who cares? In tense, emotional situations (she resisted arrest and then kicked him, and cops always worry about none disclosed handguns) we use euphemisms. He didn’t call her names or use expletives as she used continously.

Actually I’m surprised things didn’t get worse.

I have to say she was wrong. Not to die, of course. I guess it’s possible it was a retaliation. But not likely. It will be interesting to see what the ‘investigation’ shows (whatever they can investigate.)

Everyone must respect his authora-tye! He said “Get out of the car” and by God she should have gotten out of the car and don’t ask why. Because cop told her to! If he had told her to kiss his boots she’d damned well better do that, too.

This woman was pulled over for not signaling. I drive that road all the time and there are always speeders but he catches someone not using their turn signal. She won’t put out her cigarette so she ended up in jail. That’s the bottom line! Then she ended up dead.

In this day and age I ALWAYS give the citizen the benefit of the foubt. Because cops are out of control!
