Graham: Trump is ‘a political car wreck’

by Jose A. DelReal

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) knocked GOP presidential rival Donald Trump Thursday amid their prolonged public feud, calling him a "political car wreck" and warning he could hurt his party's chances of winning the White House in 2016.

"[H]e has become toxic as a presidential candidate, I hope we all understand that on the Republican side," Graham said on MSNBC's "Morning Joe" Thursday morning. "I think he's sort of a political car wreck, where people slow down and watch."

....

..."The only way we're going to lose this election is to continue to say things like Donald Trump is saying and having people like me respond endlessly," he said.

....

Graham also responded to Florida Sen. Marco Rubio's comment Wednesday that "we have a president now that has no class." Graham pushed back, saying that he believes the Obama family has "set a tone as a family that we should all respect" and that the GOP presidential field's problem is not the president.

"I don't question [Obama's] patriotism, I don't question his love of country, I question his policies," Graham said. "To Marco and everybody else: It's not about him as much as it is about us. When you look at us, what do you see? If you see Donald Trump, you're going to go somewhere else."

But, but, but,.....didn’t Nicky Haley gives a directive to stop calling names? Oh, that only applies to Trump.

Why don’t you call him and give him a piece of your mind?

Says the guy no one cares about to a newspaper no one reads.

Anyone still read WaPo? Any Republicans? (I won't even ask about Conservatives.)

“political car wreck”

*****************
Graham and his ilk have turned the GOP into a political train wreck. Trump is merely trying to repair the train and put it back on the tracks.

Thank you. That is exactly what he has been tasked to do by his GOP masters. Very good comment!

The GOPe is the political car wreck. Graham and other members of the GOPe continue to be out of touch with the hard working Americans who made this country great.

Prime example of the problem with career politicians.. Graham is simply sucking up to Obama.

obamas policies leave me with no choice BUT to question his patriotism and love of country.

No Linda, I don’t see Donald Trump.

What I see is a group of Elitists hell bent on Ruining this Country for monetary gain and the Need for Power to Control Others.

I see in the Republican Party a pit of vipers that don’t dare challenge anything dreamed up and pushed out of the Bowels of Foggy Bottom.

I see a Party void of any Morals, bending to the latest fade pushed by the Left for fear of being called names.
I see a Party that has sold out to the Chamber of Commerce to flood the country with labor that will keep wages down and fill the pockets of Megacorps in turn your Political pockets thru donations.

I see a Party that has committed fraud on it’s Base support by repeatedly over Mutliple Natioal Elections claiming they needed the majorities to change the political path in the Country. Once that was given to the REpublicans the first thing they did was go against eveythiing they said they would do just weeks before the election.

No Linda, when I look at the Republican Party I see a group of Crooks that have no moral compass and lie thru their teeth. I see Politicians that would rather attack the hard working Men and Women of this Country then those that wish to destroy it.

Barrack Obama is NOT a good man, he has no respect for the Rule of Law, the Separation of Powers, the Constitution or the History of this Country.

Anyone that has the balls to claim otherwise has not been awake or paying attention the past 6 years. They should also not be a U.S. Senator or expecting any support in attempting to Run for President.

Donald Trump is saying what most politicians on the right not only should have been saying but should have doing long time ago. But anymore it is difficult to tell one party apart from the other. Liberals keep dishing out crap and lies and republicans fall right in line and second the motion. So what good does it do even to vote for them. Is it any big wonder or surprise when Donald speeches resonate with the general public which is getting sick and tired of the crap, lies, deceit, corruption and hogwash served up on a daily basis by both parties. There is only one question remaining, if Donald by sheer chance would get elected, would he actually come through with what he is promising to do? If I could be sure of it I would vote for him in less than a heartbeat.

Agree. When corrupt political hacks don’t like you that’s a good thing.

Good post. The Republican Party is nothing but a bunch of liars and backstabbers. I think the base is finally starting to catch on, but I may be too optimistic about this.

Trump is exposing the lackeys in the GOP for what they are. In doing so he is performing a very valuable service. But would he be able to produce on his promises should he become president? That’s doubtful as both parties would fight him tooth and nail. They see him as a mortal threat.

Wow. Trump is raising in the polls regardless and Lindsey is crying that he is inneffective.

Bad news Lindsey. The illegals will NEVER vote for republicans. American citizens are sick and tired of wussies like Lindsey who just bend over backward to do whatever Obama wants and then come out and say “Obama is a great president who loves the country, I just disagree with his policies.” Hey Lindsey, we don’t have a country anymore. Obama has turned it in to a cesspit collecting the world’s trash. And if that offends you too bad. When the illegals get the right to vote, and they will with squichey republicans, the country is toast. Democrat socialists will win. EVERYTHING Obama has done is for that goal. Moving refugees and illegals in to red states. That’s all it is about. Country be damned. And if it can take out the white population at the same time all the better.
