“The first thing we have to do is strengthen our borders and after that we’ll have plenty of time to talk about it.”
It’s a non-answer.
That makes no sense...

I did not hear anything about AMNESTY specifically, but I did hear “we must CLOSE THE BORDER first...” which is what any conservative had better say if they want the conservative vote. Sorry Jeb, put your sombrero on and do a Mexican hat dance. You are going to lose.
Horse pucky
Trump said NOTHING about amnesty
Wishful thinking or intentional damage by the lame streams reporting
Non-story from the neo-con scumbags at the Standard who love open borders.
Pathetic try Priebus and the snake running this DC insider rag.
The Weekly standard staff are in Full blown PANIC .
“After we strengthen the borders we’ll have plenty time to talk about it.
LoL. It is streeeeeetch by the Weekly Standard that he’s talking about amnesty.
Jeb¿
It's either all or none Donnie. Just sayin'.
Well that didn’t last long.
Totally untrue headline, if they got that from the exchange on the video.
Spin, Spin, Spin......nice try.
They are trying to TRAP Trump with this question, and he is WAY TOO SMART to take the bait. Republicans SWEPT Texas and the entire South by staying clear of this question and REPUBLICANS won 40-45% of the Hispanic vote. Talk BORDER SECURITY, Hispanics listen and support - talk deportation, not so much. They’re DESPERATELY trying to weaken Trump, and, again, he’s too smart for that.
So just ask yourself this: Has any Republican suggested DEPORTING yet? I didn’t think so. Most, actually, have SUPPORTED Amnesty in some form (other than Cruz).
That did not take long.
he was asked what he would do about the “11 million” illegal aliens already here..
He said build the wall we’ll talk about what to do with them later..stop more illegal aliens from coming in..
he never mentioned AMNESTY..
he went on to assure people he was not against IMMIGRAQNTS coming here..legally..
he said LEGAL IMMIGRATION...
Total BS article and headline. Trump said we need to secure the border and then we can talk. Then said next. Wow. Media is desperate.
Not sure where you got the ‘amnesty’ word but nothing in the video or the link suggests he’s interested in ‘amnesty’.
I think there are lots of pols and people interested in letting those here now find a way to stay here legally.
I, for one, am 100% against that simply because they broke our sovereign laws to enter illegally. To reward that behavior is reprehensible plain and simple.
The larger problem is anchor babies. No one should be a citizen simply because they got hatched here. It’s a huge part of the problem with our immigration system IMHO.
Number one. Secure the border as close to 100% as humanly possible. Number two. Fix the anchor baby loophole. Number three. All those here illegally MUST go home and apply for entry. No exceptions. If those who whine and bitch about separating families say anything about it; just let them know there is nothing stopping the anchor babies from going home with the illegal parents. It would likely be a good thing. They could get to know their home country and maybe decide to stay there and make it better rather than coming here to trash America.
Just sayin’. I’m so sick of this huge issue being swept under the rug by so many Presidents.
If Trump said he would like to walk on Mars, it would be rhetorical speech but ridiculed by liberals. If John Kennedy had said the same thing, we would have Mars Base Caroline and Mars Base John John by now.
From the link....
“The first thing we have to do is strengthen our borders,” Trump started.
The reporter interrupted, “But after that — after that.”
“And after that we’re going to have plenty of time to talk about it,” Trump said, failing to answer the question and then hastily ending his press conference. “Thank you very much. Thank you everybody.”
Trump has not made clear how as president of the United States he would deal with the illegal immigrants already in this country. Today’s press conference left the door open for some sort of amnesty in the future.
