Funny thing here in my home state of Illinois, these feral thugs murder each other by the dozens monthly, mostly with guns. But we also have a very decent CCW law. Now, I don’t believe ANY “license” should be required as a matter of principle.
That being said we are a “shall issue” State and as far as these laws go, ours are pretty good. Where I live you have to look hard to find a “gun free” establishment. Thugs are beginning to catch bullets launched by decent human beings, and that’s a good thing.
If you factor out just 8 neighborhoods Chicago becomes statistically as safe as Geneva Switzerland. And I don’t need to spell out the demographic of those neighborhoods.

“Truth” has no meaning whatsoever to this devil.
He should be frustrated. He’s violated most of the Constitution, but he can’t trample the Second Amendment anywhere near as much as he’d like to. The nice thing about our God-given individual right to keep and bear arms is that it protects itself.

Let’s just take the new deal with Iran, that the Administration is so proud of, and use it as the Guide for how the Government has to treat all gun owners. We will get 24 days notice before a secret raid is to happen, there will be no repercussions for anything illegal we might inadvertently do, we can buy and sell weapons to and from anyone we choose, and the U.S. Government is obligated to defend us against anyone that would try to take our weapons away. If it’s good enough for Iran, it should be good enough for us...
