It’s clear from news reports this year that the president is eager to spend his final months in office “pushing a gun-control agenda that is not gaining much traction with law-abiding citizens,” said David Workman, senior editor of the Gun Mag. “Whether it’s an attempt to ban ammunition or exploit tragic events, Mr. Obama appears to be trying to erode the Second Amendment any way he can.”
White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest said the president, now on a trip to Kenya and elsewhere in Africa, was briefed on the Louisiana shooting and would continue to stay updated on the situation.
“The thoughts and prayers of everyone at the White House, including the President and First Lady, are with the community of Lafayette, Louisiana, especially the families of those who were killed,” Earnest said, according to a CBS News report. The White House issued no such statement after the shooting death of Kate Steinle July 1 by an illegal immigrant in San Francisco.

Careful what you wish for. His past efforts at unilateral gun control drove many gun owning liberals into the ‘R’ party. That’s a part of our problem. One guy got very offended when I told him we didn’t want him. We don’t want liberals. Not unless they’ve converted to conservative.

Their plan would work perfectly. Or not. Mostly not. We will have a ballot initiative on the ‘16 ballot in NV perpetrated by nannie bloomers and the momunists that will basically be the same as the BS one in Washington that passed last (s)election. They promised the petition signers that this would put a stop to criminals from ever getting a firearm and would also put a stop to domestic violence for ever. And more that twice the required number signed up to get it on the ballot. Of course they had more than required to get another one on the ballot that would “merely” tax and regulate marijuana in NV too. i.e. recreational use. Like the song says “God is great, beer is good and people are crazy.”
