I was born into a family of famous gay pagan authors in the late Sixties. My mother was Marion Zimmer Bradley, and my father was Walter Breen. Between them, they wrote over 100 books: my mother wrote science fiction and fantasy (Mists of Avalon), and my father wrote books on numismatics: he was a coin expert.

What a dreadful story. I’m glad, now, that I never read Marion Zimmer Bradley’s books.
A truly sickening story that I had no inkling of prior to this post and I have enjoyed (previously) many of M Z Bradley’s writings. I now wonder how well the S F community tried to hide this UGLY truth. There are well known lesbian authors but I had not encountered the label attached Ms Bradley.
This post makes me take a new perspective on her ‘Darkover’ series! A little Freudian perhaps?

Yeah, the preverts apparently own a black-robed evil federal clown named Bernard A. Friedman [from the United States District Court, Eastern District of Michigan, Southern Division].
The Dishonorable Evil Clown Friedman, who is a senior thugjudge, was appointed by Reagan in 1988. Sounds like he went to The Dark Side over the years, probably as a result of "John Roberts problems".
He called Regnerus “not worthy of serious consideration” in a Michigan court case in 2014. I deem Friedman “not worthy of serious consideration”, since all he's been is a lying legal beagle for most of his life.
Odd reaction to a heartbreaking story.
As I understand it, Breen’s deviance was well known in science fiction fandom. But Bradley was regarded as, as worst, someone who abetted him by looking away.
The fact that Bradley herself was a child molester was not know until Greyland and her brother revealed their own abuse recently.
