Nappy prefers corrupt governors who repay donors through economic development committees.

The establishment hated Reagan too. He became a very effective president and he did it in the face of wide opposition.
Cruz has pointed out that Obama has only vetoed 4 pieces of legislation. That means he’s getting far too much of what he wants. Reagan used his veto power 78 times.

Before you go too far down this road, look up the legislative accomplishments of a senator named Obama.
I’ve found no evidence of his ability in the Senate to garner consensus.

Nope....just want someone who gets things done and is a conservative. Not an Obama clone that you want.

If you cant see how Ted Cruz could be an outstanding and highly functional President, then you have no vision.
lol. If I wanted a vision, Id watch tv. I want a guy who can get things done. That is the problem with you Cruz lovers, you want to relieve the Hope and Change that Obama sold and now you are liking Obama twin Cruz doing the same thing.

but Mccain and Obama didnt and dont have a string of follow me successes in their senate careers.
Yep. So you want to chose someone that is the same as McCain and Obama. Cruz is equal to those two and you want that? Are you nutz?

the world's greatest deliberative body Not when they routinely stage parallel debates on (nearly) identical amendments specifically so they can vote yes on one and no on the other.

I think so, yes, approximately. But, my point was that the past doesn't dictate the future. Obama got followers up the gazoot, even though he was a failure in the senate. McCain had lots of followers too, as GOP candidate. So did Romney. So will Jeb.

There should be a ‘RALLY / DEMONSTRATION’ right outside the Senate building by all Tea Party and honest/proud American citizens to PROTEST all those SENATE DINOSAURS who are criticizing Ted Cruz!
We should have a ‘Call to Arms’ over this and support this guy!

USG, bankrupt; USA, bankrupt; USCongress leadership, bankrupt. Ted Cruz, awake and truthful.
To: Cboldt
Well of course people had followers for McCain and Romney because the problem was that having Obama was worse to those followers. Obama who we don't like was able to inspire people to vote for him. That is the thing Walker has...he is inspiring and can get his agenda passed. Cruz does not inspire his Republican colleagues and they definitely don't respect him. That is a problem that Cruz needs to figure out if he really wants more then 5 percent in the polls. He is just not inspiring. Not his fault really because you are born with it.

I look beyond legislative successes.
Ted Cruz successfully defended Texas state sovereignty, US Sovereignty, and found justice for victims of crimes committed by illegal aliens in the Medellín v. Texas case.
Medellín v. Texas, 552 U.S. 491 (2008), is a United States Supreme Court decision that held that even if an international treaty may constitute an international commitment, it is not binding domestic law unless Congress has enacted statutes implementing it or unless the treaty itself is "self-executing." Also, the Court held that decisions of the International Court of Justice are not binding domestic law and that, without authority from the United States Congress or the Constitution, the President of the United States lacks the power to enforce international treaties or decisions of the International Court of Justice.

I think the first order of business in that regard is to ignore Trump.
Wishful thinking. Trump is not going to be ignored. Even Cruz is taking lessons from and using Trump tactics that he never would have used a few weeks ago...
The problem with Cruz trying to be Trump? All the right words for a litigator, BUT. Sleepy eyed, meek voice, not convincing, no charisma and still no national name recognition outside of FAUX.
I know it's hard to believe but most people don't know or care who Mitch McConnell is or that he lied (a politician lied? say it isn't so) or what the import export bank is or why they should even care.

I realize you're just a lying liberal groin leech but You should at least be man enough to acknowledge that Trump has had a weekly call in Segment on FOX and friends for a couple of years now.
Now return to your little hut of mud and feces.

Cruz is a rock. He’s doing wonderful things to corruptocrats’ plate glass windows.
I think something crazy inspired him.

Cruz may be entirely correct as to the facts of the case. In fact, I'll willingly grant that assumption
in arguendo.
But in my opinion, he is foolishly wasting political capital on the relatively minor matter of the Ex-Im Bank. In particular, it's just not a big deal when the Senate needs to focus on things like the Iran sell-out -- a transaction that well may go down as the worst diplomatic blunder in American history.
Maybe just as unwisely, Cruz also is re-enforcing his image as a "grouch" who hardly knows how to smile. Given that image, whether it's fair or not, I simply can't see his winning the hearts and minds of the middle-class independent and swing voters who will determine the outcome of the 2016 POTUS contest.
