Mitchell: No One Can Give Explanation For Clinton’s Server Other Than Dodging Inquiries and FOIAs
Breitbart ^ | 27 Jul 2015 | Ian Hanchett

MSNBC host and NBC News Chief Foreign Affairs Correspondent Andrea Mitchell stated that when she spoke to intelligence officials at a security conference, “nobody can give an explanation for why a cabinet secretary would have a private email system other than to thwart inquiries, FOIAs” on Monday’s broadcast of MSNBC’s “Morning Joe.”

Mitchell said that it’s possible that the impact of Clinton’s emails on her campaign has been underestimated. She continued, “Look, you have two inspectors general, and they are referring to this to the Justice Department. Now, you can try to confuse it, and there’s been a lot of misdirection. There’s been inaccurate reporting significantly, on Thursday night by the New York Times, it’s not a criminal referral, not at this stage. It could become, and it could become nothing. But, what they are suggesting is that there were classified — four out of the 40 randomly selected, had classified information, and it was not information that was later upgraded to be classified. It was information that was classified as ‘secret,’ which is a level of classification, at the time. This gets very confusing. And it can be confused further by statements on all sides. That said, the original sin, if you will, is having a private email system.”

Mitchell added, “I was at a security conference speaking to intelligence officials on all sides, and the attorney general, we’ll talk about that later. But nobody can give an explanation for why a cabinet secretary would have a private email system other than to thwart inquiries, FOIAs, and

There is no other reason for a public official to maintain their own server other than hide information. She without question handled classified information and her personal server could not possibly have the security necessary to protect national security.

It doesn’t matter. The next president whether Democrat or Republican will refuse to prosecute her. It is a gentleman’s agreement amongst corrupt political parties.

She and her husband should see jail time for the good of the nation by sending a message to future politicians, but it wont happen.

>> if Chinese hackers can penetrate the servers of the Federal Office of Personnel Management, how easy was it to compromise Hillary Clinton’s private email server? <<

How easy? Probably a lot easier than opening a fortune cookie with chopsticks — or some other Chinese-flavored metaphor.

Even more, what about the hacktivists working for the French, the Israelis, the Iranians, the Russians, AQ and so forth? One or more these groups is bound to have archived at least 90% of the traffic that passed thru Hilary’s Chappaqua server.

One good phish bait email to Hillary easily faked from her ***** Huma, and bam!

It is cake to spoof emails. Combine that with a technical illiterate narcissist like Hillary and it is game over.

This could be the least damning narrative on why the terrorist had Steven’s information.

It seems the Leftist press realizes HRC is not their candidate. Sanders is open & inviting to them, HRC plays rope-a-dope with them.

Who actually likes this sea hag?

>> 18 U.S. Code § 1924 <<

Yeah, but the language includes knowingly.

Therefore, I imagine that if the matter ever comes to a trial, Hillary and her counsel will be able to convince a Washington DC jury of her "peers" (read "fellow liberals") that she didn't "know" what was classified and what was unclassified. So the jury will let her go scot free.

Now of course, you and I realize that her not "knowing" about classification requirements makes her totally unqualified to hold and enjoy any Office of honor, Trust or Profit under the United States. But it remains to be seen whether 51% of the American electorate will ever care about such arcane details

Mitchell: No One Can Give Explanation For Clinton’s Server Other Than Dodging Inquiries and FOIAs

This has been going on for a long time. Both by PIAPS and most "progressives" including career bureaucrats.

Anyone wanting an education in this area should try reading The Liberal War on Transparency by Christopher Horner, 2012.

The Clintons perfected ALL the techniques in the early 90s...

I guess every minion at one time or another comes to that soul searching introspection and feelings of loyalty, disbelief, diversion and final realization that their master is the Devil.

Andrea isn't quite there. Yet. The most potent weapon in the Devil's arsenal is the rationalization. Andrea is still working through rationalizing her support for Hillary Clinton. But I detect in Andrea's statement she is having those uneasy feelings you get when you have to swallow ten rationalizations just to get out of bed in the morning.

Oh I totally agree. But in every movie you and I have probably ever seen about the Devil and his disciples, that point at which the minion starts to ‘question’ is the point where the Devil rips his throat out. Look for the equivalent for Andrea. She won’t be literally eviscerated, but she’ll feel like she has been.

Regardless, it will leave her a shell of her former self. When you lose your minions’ ardor and passion, you’ve lost the battle.

Bottom line, ANY peson in the corporate world avoiding the corporate server for private emails would be dismissed - that means summarily FIRED for those reading in Rio Linda.

The fact that Hillary can coneinue to give smarky snarky answers with a smile is revolting. At least one GOP candidate says what she did was illegal, of course it was AND a major security infraction. Obama should have fired her, but he went along with it for political purposes.

Mitchell is right here, this should be a major problem for Hillary. Why, because Congress should bring her up on charges - but where is Congress??? Is it any wonder GOP voters are soo frustrated with their representatives that they are telling pollsters they are going to vote for Trump?

Interesting that this is on MSNBC—I wonder if the Party word is to prepare the way for a Hillary alternative.

If Andrea Mitchell and MSNBC are raising these questions, either they anticipate a total implosion by Hillary, or the word has gone out that someone other than Hillary will be annointed as the nominee.

How she did it, why she did it, whether she was aware that she was doing it--all irrelevant. The fact is that she did it.

Exactly on point!

Another thing to consider is whether any person who sent classified information to her at a private email address also violated the law.

You're right, but the how and why - that is, the intentional action of setting up a private server to circumvent the system - means that any mitigation due to being "accidental" is impossible, since the infractions were systematic, not negligent.

The man whom we believe is necessarily, in the things concerning which we believe him, our leader and director, and we look up to him with a certain degree of esteem and respect. - Adam Smith, Theory of Moral Sentiments (1759)
” . . . people want to be able to trust their leaders. And she’s lost that with the public.” And that while he supports Clinton on “a lot of the policies,” it’s hard to look at those positions “credibly” given her lack of trustworthiness."
From Hillary Clinton I expect nothing better than what Hamilton describes as the danger of democracy:
“The republican principle demands that the deliberate sense of the community should govern the conduct of those to whom they intrust the management of their affairs; but it does not require an unqualified complaisance to every sudden breeze of passion or to every transient impulse which the people may receive from the arts of men, who flatter their prejudices to betray their interests.” ― Alexander Hamilton

It is my understanding that negligent release of classified information is also criminal. However, as in most criminal matters, intent can be a mitigating factor.

She was trotting around the world peddling her influence as SOS for donations to the Clinton Foundation. IMO, that is treason.

The question of why she would have her own server doesn’t seem complicated to me.

IIRC, the server in question was hosted by a service provider. Those “deleted” emails may show up yet if the FBI does in fact start looking for them.

RICO charges can be filed by any citizen or citizen advocacy group. The "established" DC criminal establishment need not have a role in it whatsoever.

As summarized in this thread, the known evidence is overwhelming, and the still undiscovered evidence, fatal.

I completely disagree. We forget that many on the Left HATE Hillary Clinton for various sundry reasons--the way she started her current Presidential campaign turned off many in the MSM (the Scooby van tour made a lot of people scratch their heads in disbelief). As such, there won't be many people on the Left defending her if she is tried for not only violating Federal laws in regards to that private email server, but also major questions about possible financial irregularities at the Clinton Foundation.
