Why the apology?
Another great example of cuckservatism.
I don't know the history all that well, but the specifics of their facebook post could be criticized.
It is true that the KKK was formed by democrats, but I don't know if their primary focus was to 'keep control over black Americans' - or just to oppose everything that they didn't like during the Reconstruction. This included carpetbaggers, Yankees, Roman Catholics, Jews, and blacks. To be honest, I'm not exactly sure what was the KKK's deal (I probably should page Nathan Bedford Forrest).
Also, rather than the 'democrats of today just trading ropes for welfare', I think a better analogy would be chains for welfare.
I think their facebook post would have been more factually accurate if they had noted that '150 years ago Democrats defended slavery, and today they have just traded chains of iron for the soft chains of welfare bondage'.
The Truth is never allowed in a Marxist PC culture—NEVER. Public schools are lying to children, filling their little heads with misinformation and a warped, collectivist worldview so the Truth creates Cognitive Dissonance.
It is on purpose that Truth/God/Christianity “offends” the Left. Operant Conditioning for generations-—since John Dewey, the socialist and Humanist, who destroy Classical Education and created the revisionist history so it is too upsetting to hear “truth”.
