Donald Trump: Crimea is Europe's problem
CNN ^ | July 31 3015 | Tom LoBianco

Posted on 07/31/2015 8:08:00 PM PDT by WilliamIII

Washington (CNN)Republican frontrunner Donald Trump said Friday that the U.S. should only step in on Crimea if European countries ask for help and, until then, it remains "Europe's problem."

"Let me explain first of all — this is Europe's problem much more than ours, OK?" Trump told CNN during a trip to Scotland.

"And Europe isn't complaining as much as we are. But this is more of a Europe problem," Trump continued. "And when Europe comes to us and says, 'We want your help, we want your help,' but they're not really doing that. They're dealing with Russia, they're taking in the gas, they're taking in the oil — they're not really doing that. And you know, we're making a big deal out of it."

"But why isn't Germany leading this one?" Trump asked. "You know Germany is a very rich, very powerful nation. Why aren't they dealing on it moreso? Everything the United States — we're like the policeman of the world."

“I think I would get along very well with Vladimir Putin”

I think Putin would love you if you stayed out of his way too, Trump.

It is more delusional to borrow money from China to fight Russia in Ukraine. It is super delusional to play world policeman with $18,000,000,000,000.00 national debt (soon to be $20 T) and beg China to lend us more money.

I think Trump is doing what he’s doing best, negotiate for the best deal. He knows eventually the US will have to get involved, but we are so bad at showing our hand and always jump in over-eager.

His point, left unsaid but implied, is that Europe needs our help and everyone knows it, so we withhold it until they beg for it and we get to dictate the terms and get benefits out of European countries in exchange for it.

“no, you clearly have a double standard. and you have some fixation about wanting us to go to war with Russia. bizarre.”

We’ve spent 25 years disarming, haven’t exploded a nuke in over 20 years (and yes, they do degrade over time), have the smallest military since before WW2, and people REALLY think now is the time to start WW3?

I’ve got better things to do than act as a test bed for Russian ICBMs.

The problem is that the Ukrainian government is so corrupt the won’t defend their own people properly

Ukrainian forces have been shaping up rather nicely now considering the state they were in 15 months ago. Russian puppet president Yanukovich had almost destroyed Ukrainian defense capabilities during his reign.

We have done enough damage in Crimea with McCains help.

Russians (Orthodox Christian) are natural allies against Islam and, with the possible exception of Israel, the last truly badass country in the world.

Two groups you don't piss off: The Russians and The Mossad.

I started thinking of countries as a person. Sometimes the best thing you can do is let them figure it out for themselves. Tough love.
With our own multitrillion dollar debt your mother and i (USA) have to think about ourselves. It’s for the best. Good luck son (90% of the world).
Oh, and son, always keep one eye on the Russians Chinese, and the Muslims.

Your thoughts are exactly in line with what Russia wants. They like nothing better than everyone pretending they are not seeing what happens and say "let them figure it out between themselves"

This is how Russia and Ukraine figuring it out themselves looks like.

Ukraine gave up 1240 nuclear missiles - the third largest nuclear arsenal in the world at that time - in return to some dubious security guarantees by the USA and is now asking for 1240 anti-tank missiles. They want to defend themselves and these missiles would help them greatly. Javelin for nuke doesn’t seem too much.

To add to my previous post. Other countries see what happens when you give up your nukes in exchange of promises. It certainly makes them think twice about it to say the least.

Europe needs to man up & defend their interests.

Now, they depend on the USA to defend them from aggression. US taxpayers pay a huge sum in the defense of Europe & NATO.

Germany’s military is more of a jobs program than fighting force. Britain, no longer Great, probably couldn’t defeat Argentina in another war over the Falklands.

Crimea is a done deal.

The fighting in Ukraine is mostly to detract from the fait accompli in Crimea

and..... it doesn’t really matter

Crimea alone is just not viable for Russia. Crimea gets its water and electricity from Ukraine and same with all the land based transportation.

Putin’s plan was to invade eastern Ukraine and gain a land connection to Crimea, but it didn’t work out for him. Now he just wants to force the whole Ukraine into submission. He doesn’t even want the destroyed land he has conquered so far. It is a money sink. He wants it to remain a tumor inside Ukraine.

“Ukraine gave up 1240 nuclear missiles”

That was dumb of them.

That is the conclusion every country with nuclear aspirations will draw.

It’s not the Russians doing the killing, Geron. It’s the neo Nazis. Guess who we’re backing?

That's been debunked for a long time now. I can show you the Jewish leadership of Right Sector, Jewish battalions and Jewish leadership in general in Ukraine, and articles from Russkies ranting about "Jewish Banderovites." You really need to read the news, or at least stop reading the Daily Paul or Alex Jones.
