Trump has said he would change Obamacare to free market based system and open it across state lines.

Yes. Trump spent over an hour speaking to the Chicago Tribune in detail what he would do about healthcare. Repeal Obamacare first, and go back to a free and open market for healthcare.

All I have heard him say is that he would have an “awesome” plan. Nothing more...

Again, he never gives specifics...he will get eaten alive for this.

Well, again, I think we are underestimating how many people are going to self-deport simply because we begin to enforce the law. See the example of Arizona, with illegals in large numbers immediately departing and going to other states or leaving entirely until the Feds came in to put a stop to it.

Ok. In your head Trump is a dreamer and soft on illegals. You have to thread jack to get that point across. That’s just sad.

The Palestinians live in squalor because they like it that way, and also other countries will not accept them. There is no such bars to Mexicans returning to Mexico and the like.

“especially for those who have had kids here and whose families would be split up. It would tie up the courts for years and cost hundreds of billions more than any benefits the gainfully employed now provide.”

Families can stay together by leaving together. They get to choose.

You are looking at it from a liberal point of view, where illegals have ‘rights’. In smarter countries, they don’t have any and we need to return to that.

You want specifics then go listen to Trump’s Chicago Tribune interview. Specifically, listen around the 55 minute mark in this interview.

Here you go Mouth.

Trump in detail talks about going back to a free market based healthcare system.

And Oklahoma, where their illegal immigration law has not been overturned and illegals scurried to other states quickly.

Besides, if illegal aliens actually get smart and decide to do protest marches and open resistance, it’ll only make Americans hate them more. That tends to be the situation whenever these schmucks come out grabbing their crotches and waving the Mexican flag. Americans hate people who feel entitled.

The Obama Administration is not doing deportations. Do not be deceived by the very thought that deportations are happening. they are not happening at all.

I think a good portion of the deportation could be accomplished with smart power, rather than boots on the ground, by, for example, denying them access to welfare, foodstamps, driver’s liscences, medical covereage, etc. Rather than taking them into custody and shipping them back, you make it virtually impossible for them to earn a living and participate in our society in general. A good many would then self deport.

Trump does not speak political-ese. When he uses the term "path to citizenship," I do NOT think it's what every other politician means, which is "amnesty." I think Trump means it in the old-fashioned way, namely, they leave and get in line and come through the process.

Now, as for deportations: there are two simple facts here. First, he is the ONLY candidate talking, on a regular basis, about deportations. (Key being "on a regular basis"). That alone is a very significant move of the "Overton Window." Second, except for the few, and I'm using the word generously, unrealistic types, you cannot deport either 11 million or 30 million people.

The good news is you do not have to and I think this is what Trump is getting at. We do not have to arrest or cite every speeder in order to maintain speed limit laws. When it's clear you will be cited and, if multiple offenses, arrested, and you have cops who do this visiblly and frequently, everyone else complies with the law. I do indeed believe that if we deported even a million of Trump's "bad guys" and criminals, a very signficant number of the others would leave on their own before getting caught. It would never be 11 million---too many are established, like, for example, Cesar Milan, the "dog whisperer" who has a TV show and has been here all his life.

But many, many of those on the bubble, newly arrived, would go, particularly if you similarly inspect and enforce it at the employment end, too.

The key is that the system is horribly broken, even for the legal immigrants, and that we need to get as close to ground zero before we can start again. Trump, of all the candidates, seems to have this in mind.

Please show me one Republican that is running that has said he will send all illegals home.

I don’t like it one bit, no matter who says legalize the illegals.

Trump does say he wants to send them home, and then have them enter legally, in some of his interviews.

I don’t think he’s solid on that, so I don’t disagree with your reaction. Someone is going to be president in 2017. Who is it going to be?

Trump can say what he wants and we can want what we want but 100% deportation is just not going to happen

Agreed. I wish it weren't so and that the country had the stomach for ALL the stories they'd be inundated with 24/7 about straight A honor kids ripped from their parent's loving arms. But they don't.

A reasonable goal right now is at minimum keep the demographic and voting block down to as small a percentage as possible, get rid of the one's we can and prevent more from coming. And for cripes sake, stop with the anchor babies policy.

He's full of crap. Just imagine the number of MALDEF lawsuits and you'll instantly see why. There is just no way to run a selective immigration system without deporting all of the illegals unless they want to spend fortunes on legal fees.

I believe we have pussy footed around on this until our enemies have hog tied us and defeated justice.

I would urge illegals to leave the nation.

I would make it as tough as I could on them. I would get Congressional action to cut off all government services to them. As part of that, we should provide 24 months for illegals to settle accounts and vacate, if they own property.

I would urge them to leave rather than take losses, but once taken into custody, that’s it. You’re on the road out.

I would instruct immigration to allow one challenge to deportation only. Give two weeks for proof of citizenship or legal status, or they are deported. New filings for legal status would be denied for them.

I simply wouldn’t present these people before the courts of our nation.

If need be, I would call out the national guard to make it clear to local judges they could no longer stand in the way of legal deportation proceedings.

If the child is a U.S. citizen I don’t even think he or she is currently allowed to travel on ICE’s chartered deportation flights. So that would have to be changed as well as the placement of these children in foster care when their parents are detained in deportation centers which is going to become a logistical nightmare for the social service systems involved. I just can’t imagine any politician disregarding the images of hundreds of thousands of children torn from their parents without due process and the possibility to stay with their children.
