MARK LEVIN: THE REPUBLICAN PARTY WON ITS MAJORITY ON A LIE
Breitbart Big Government ^ | August 1, 2015 | JULIA HAHN

Posted on 08/01/2015 1:53:37 PM PDT by Hojczyk

The audience, comprised of more than 200 students from around the nation, was thrilled to hear from one of the most influential minds in the conservative movement. In his speech, Levin discussed many of the ideas put forth in his new book, Plunder and Deceit, which is already winning accolades from many notable conservatives.

[Boehner] is essentially delivering for Barack Obama everything Barack Obama wants. Just because you’re dressed up as a Republican doesn’t make it so… By his actions, he has demonstrated that he is not a conservative. He spends his time with [Rep. Kevin] McCarthy (R-CA) and [Rep. Steve] Scalise (R-LA) conspiring against the Tea Party and the more conservative elements of his caucus…

I can’t think of one significant advance in the cause of liberty or limited government under John Boehner. When he and [Sen. Mitch] McConnell (R-KY)—who’s equally bad— surrendered the power of the purse right out of the box… they just delivered Obama everything he wanted. So these men have helped Obama oversee the biggest explosion of government both in spending and in power ever.

But they are doing more to dispirit Republicans and conservatives than Barack Obama, because people go to the polls, they give them the House, then they give them the Senate, and they get nothing. They also seem to think that bipartisanship is the reason they’re in Washington. No, the reason they’re in Washington is to advance the cause of liberty and prosperity and constitutionalism. Why would you want to participate in a bipartisan government when the President of United States is openly usurping the rule of law and openly attack the private sector and individual sovereignty?… Why wouldn’t you do everything you can to throw a wrench in his agenda?

"Without a pro-life view, no life matters."

That definitely bears repeating.

Free Trade ONLY WORKS if everyone is playing by the same rules.

Any type of Trade that allows one side to CHEAT ALL THEY WANT, then there is no way in H@ll will it ever work.

It’s just like playing a rigid Poker game where everyone can CHEAT except us.

It’s a joke!

BTW, quit calling it “free trade”. It’s only free for them. It’s “RIGID TO LOSE TRADE”.

Am very aware of differences, and similarities, having represented leading Conservative broadcasters in my practice for decades:

#1 Here beginith the First Lesson. The sole purpose of ANY broaccaster, Conservative, lib, MSM, is to make money for the person who owns the station, network/personally. Ideology in some cases, is deeply held and the product of an extremely well thought-out, highly intelligent thought process. Examples; Megan Kelly, Rush, Hannity, Ann Coulter, etc.

For others, it is but a rediclous facade with the sole purpose of attracting easilly-fooled listeners, and therefore advertising dollars.

Alex Jones, Savage and George Noorey all too often come to mind in that area. Jones would report that Jesus was an alien if it would get him another 20 listeners and their $.

Unfortunately, in Conservative talk radio, just like in MSM, whomever makes the most outlandish claim all too often gets the audience and the $ that come with it.

This is something we all need to be concious of as we get closer to the election

What have I done?

I’ve kept a number of them on the air when their ad-hoc networks wanted them off air due to boycotts.

You might want to read #45. Sorry for the typos therein. Was on iPhone in car.

Some Conservative radio is good. Some is BS.

Broadcasters charge advertisers a “cost per thousand (listeners)” to run commercials.

The more listeners a station/network/host gets, the more $ they make.

How they get them doesn’t count. Complete liars, and some in Conservative know they are simply saying anything to draw an audience, and lib idiots such as the old Air America and the audio segment of MSNBC, the Dan Rather BS story on Bush and the Texas ANG, etc, still get to charge for every listener.

Please read #45 and my bio to help you understand.

Have a good weekend... and please pardon the typos in #45. Was sent from iPhone in moving car.

This thread is about Levin. Sure, there are some “conservative” hosts that are full of it, Levin, however, is not one of them. He is about the only host, with a large audience, that consistently stresses the importance of the Constitution.

Levin was never my client.

The take on Levin is that too often, he speaks so bombastically, his message gets lost in the theatrics.

The key to Conservative Talk Radio is not what people THINK while you are on the air, but what they DO after you have signed off.

Rush and Megan win that hands down, with O’Reilly strong in his ability to raise $ for good causes, (veterans, etc.)

"The take on Levin is that too often, he speaks so bombastically, his message gets lost in the theatrics."

Levin's been the #3 conservative radio host for years and has authored multiple best-selling books - clearly, his message hasn't gotten lost. His objective has been to advance the conservative movement. Rush sells tea, O'Reilly pimps ghost-written books about trivia and Kelly is a short-term blip.

With a pompous attitude like that, you're not going to make many friends here on Free Republic. Here's a lesson for *you*: lay off the pomposity.

Alex Jones, Savage and George Noorey all too often come to mind in that area. Jones would report that Jesus was an alien if it would get him another 20 listeners and their $...

Jones? Savage?? Noory??? Let me know when you find lots of fans of those broadcasters on this forum. You only joined up a few months ago, so perhaps you aren't aware that as a conservative forum, we're a little bit more discriminating than that in our choices of radio personalities.

This is something we all need to be concious of as we get closer to the election

Yes, oh thank you for your sage words of wisdom... (see my first comment)

No, his objective is to make money for Levin... and that is fine, as long as you realize it.

Spiritual war? Maybe, but are you willing to to watch your progeny die? Remember, they’ll be happy to let you carry a Bible onto the cattle car if it means you’ll go with less fuss.

Perhaps you might find a moment to read my FR bio.

I think I have pretty good creds to speak on the issue, at least my clients think so.

Pompous? Moi? Heaven forbid, NO! Experienced, yes.

If we all don’t need “Election Intelligence,” what about the FReepers who were part of the so-called Conservative movement that helped re-elect Obama because they sat out the election claiming Romney wasn’t “Conservative enough?”

Unless it’s your enemies. I’m all for them killing their offspring. It saves mine the trouble of having to do it when they’re grown. Doesn’t anybody read basic war or Old Testament?

“No doubt that election, while not a cure all was just one step in the right direction.”

Yes and we ought not forget that.

One step at a time Rome wasn’t built in a day. If we are to turn this around it will take a lot more steps.

It is better to be able to replace McConnell as Majority Leader than as Minority Leader.
