Sometimes I enjoy playing a couple of my favorite songs on Youtube and end up seeing where the sidebar takes me. I started with The Highwayman and now I'm listening to Steve Earl's Copper Head Road.
Next up is John Prine and Steve Goodman's Souvenirs
If you care to post your favorites, other Freepers might just enjoy the jukebox tonight.
Bryce Haymond wrote an excellent review. Here's his first paragraph: "This past Sunday afternoon I came across a piece of music that moved me to tears. I dont get emotional often, so I was struck by the overwhelming power this song has, which I believe is the result of an exquisitely crafted resonance of lyric, melody, arrangement, and vocal talent combined in perfect harmony. Its one of those songs that seems to reach down into the deepest parts of my experience and speak to me on a level usually untapped"
Yes, very cool. It has a similar groove. And I like the reverby, low tech production.
Nice!
Yes, I like his hand movements.....though he’s rather a stiff in his posture by personality I understand, he has an amazing style.
Hard to believe it will be 30 years ago this New Year’s Eve when his plane crashed.

I’m listening to all of these battle rap songs. This one is my new favorite.
KOL NIDRAE, Opus 47 - Max Bruch
Jaqueline du Pre, Cello
Israel Philharmonic Orchestra
Crazy, Crazy Party--The Cues (recorded 1956, released 1957)
There’s a ton of that stuff coming out lately. The ‘New Retro Wave” channel on youtube and Synthetix.fm are great sources. Some of these guys do 80s music better than people that were there in the 80s.
I love 4 Non Blondes, or at least that single song. I can’t think of anything else the did.
Funny, I had never heard of Battle Rap History before.
Me either.
They’re so funny! Bob Ross vs Pablo Picasso is a good one to start with.
