President says plan is 'the biggest most important step we've ever taken to combat climate change'

WASHINGTON (CNN) —The Obama administration will unveil a major climate change plan Monday aimed at a large reduction in greenhouse gas emissions from the nation's coal-burning power plants, a senior administration official told CNN.

The "Clean Power Plan" is the final version of regulations by the Environmental Protection Agency, which President Barack Obama called "the biggest most important step we've ever taken to combat climate change," in a video released by the White House on social media Saturday night.

The plan will call for a reduction power-sector carbon pollution of 32% from 2005 levels in 2030 -- a 9% increase over the 2014 draft proposal, the official said. It will also call for a more aggressive transition to renewable energy.

"Power plants are the single biggest source of harmful carbon pollution that contributes to climate change," Obama said in the video. "Until now, there have been no fede

Proposal.

I do not think that word means what he says it means.

...but polls show most Americans believe the planet is warming.

But polls can produce very different results. Opinions can be engineered as they have in this case with billions being spent to prove that mankind is no good. Tell a lie often enough and people will begin to believe it.

What really matters is the science of climate change; the science is far from settled. Politicians can say the science is settled, but that does not make it settled.

Climate change is caused by the Sun, not mankind. We are on the cusp of global cooling.

Many Americans believe that men and women are freely interchangeable. Something they did not believe twenty years ago.

How long will it take to undo all the bullshit this a-hole has implemented?

Obumbler and his predecessors have embedded this tyranny deep in the Article 2 Administration bureaucracy which on the civil service level NEVER STAND FOR reelection. IMHO it is impossible to get rid of it without bringing down the District of Corruption and starting with a clean slate. Impossible I say.

Isn’t it time that the EPA is forced to “lead by example” and live under it’s new mandates starting much before the rest of US? I’d propose granting them just 1/2 the lead-time they grant to us them.{Ergo, They need to comply in just7.5 years.}
Then I’d require the rest of D.C. live under any new EPA Mandate for 3 years before any nationwide implementation!

"Hope Cecil Roberts and the UMW are happy. Our county took a big hit 2 yrs ago when they closed two coal fired plants. Over 600 direct jobs and 3 times that in associated jobs.'

It does not matter. Liberal Philly will out vote the economic concerns of the coal fields. Cecil is all about power, jobs no longer matter. Obama and the Dems can flip Appalachia and most of fly over country the bird because they do not possess the electoral votes to stop the communists.

Global Warming is not due to human contribution of Carbon Dioxide - Global Warming: The Cold, Hard Facts? By Timothy Ball

No Smoking Hot Spot (The Australian)

The missing hotspot (JoNova)

Those two articles take Greenhouse Theory at face value and by the criterion set up in the theory itself finds no evidence of warming on the basis of greenhouse effect.

Sky-high hole blown in AGW theory?

"Forbes reports on a peer-reviewed study that uses NASA data to show that the effects of carbon-based warming have been significantly exaggerated. In fact, much of the heat goes out into space rather than stay trapped in the atmosphere, an outcome that started long before AGW alarmists predicted:"

That article explains why no Hot Spot has been found.

The Hidden Flaw in Greenhouse Theory

Falsification Of The Atmospheric CO2 Greenhouse Effects Within The Frame Of Physics

Harvard astrophysicist dismisses AGW theory, challenges peers to 'take back climate science'

It Is Impossible For A 100 ppm Increase In Atmospheric CO2 Concentration To Cause Global Warming

Simple Chemistry and the Real Greenhouse Effect.

Those five articles each show that Greenhouse Theory has no basis in reality due to a direct conflict with the known laws of physics. No wonder the smoking gun "hotspot" can't be found.

Claim That Sea Level Is Rising Is a Total Fraud

That article kills any thought of planetary warming from any cause. Think about it. If there is absolutely no sign of an acceleration of sea level rise how could the planet be warming? The rise in sea level in the last 100 years is far less than the average over the last 18,000 years caused by the inter-glacial period we are in.

Actually, the change in verbiage is happening. The term, “carbon pollution” has been use more and more.

True but it refers solely to CO2.

First prove to us all you can do a much, much simpler task, like stop the tide from rolling in on the East coast one day. Then I will believe you can modify the entire planets climate by changing a micro-speck of a percentage of an extremely minor gas in ONLY a small percentage on the Earths surface.

The seeds for a new American Revolution have been sown. We declared our independence from England for mere trifles in comparison to the abuses and usurpations heaped on us by this corrupt administration. At some point things will have to give.

I guess we'll find out if Americans still have what it takes.

We now know that the majority of our elected "leaders" don't.

Someone should provide some ice from the Arctic to the presser and inform about this:

Arctic expedition to study global warming put on hold because of too much ice.
