Funny you say that, I thought the Indians are hard working and work better than the average American according to what I was told.

They can be. Sometimes it is a real plus, but if you are hard working, but digging the ditch in the wrong direction, it’s not very productive in the end.

Also, we all affect the productivity of those with whom we work. The communication barrier can impact the productivity and morale of the English speaking team members that get frustrated with it.

This is one of my major issues with Ted Cruz right now

There are lots of programmers and engineers unemployed or under employed. I know one who got mergered out of heading a dept. of 40 programmers. He now teaches illegals as a consultant things his staff did all the time.

Another guy has been programming for almost 20 years, they just want to pay half what he was making.

Lots of Grads in CS can’t get jobs in IT, and they have been using computers since they were kids. My own kids were brought up with computers. I only have an advantage over them because I can assemble all the hardware.

Ted Cruz is wrong about this issue. It depresses wages so Bill Gates et al can get even richer, as if 60 billion net worth isn’t enough

IF SOMEONE IS CLOSE TO TED HAVE HIM READ THIS THREAD, AND TELL HIM A LOT OF HIS SUPPORTERS DON’T GET IT ABOUT HIS WANTING TO HAVE 5X MORE FOREIGN IT WORKERS HERE WHILE AMERICANS WITH THOSE SKILLS GO WITHOUT JOBS.

I THINK ITS UN-AMERICAN NOT TO WORRY ABOUT AMERICAN WORKERS AND THEIR FAMILIES FIRST.

U-6 is a t 14% i think. If you count all people of working age 22% is low.

This is one of my major issues with Ted Cruz right now. Increasing the number of H1B’s fivefold is not helpful to the U.S. economy.
Not to mention the millions of green cards laden with benefits to make the illegals legal (AKA amnesty)

How else do you think he's going to get campaign cash from Koch/Chamber of Commerce?

Same with me. But I also believe that Ted Cruz can be made to understand the impacts of what he is proposing,
Sadly, like when Obama does what he does, Cruz understands perfectly well what he's doing...He's banking on YOU not understanding what he's doing.

They wear shoes, too - does that mean conservatives shouldn't?

I was a computer programmer for over 20 years. I switched to Business Analysis around 2004 because it requires strong written and oral communication skills. You can’t just train up a bunch of indians to do it from the other side of the planet.

A Programmer needs to be a business analyst. The days of "heads down" coders are over.
