Stand-up comedian and actress Amy Schumer is teaming up with New York Sen. Chuck Schumer to call for tighter gun control.
She will join the senator on Monday as he unveils a three-part plan that would make it harder for violent criminals and mentally ill to obtain guns.
They cited the recent shooting in a Louisiana movie theater that killed two women and injured nine others during a screening of the movie "Trainwreck" starring Amy Schumer.
Amy Schumer is the senator's cousin.

You make it TOO simple.
There has been a soft-headed, low-expectations attitude about the violent and the mentally ill in this country for many decades now, and it has not bought us one iota of peace or understanding from either the violent OR the mentally ill.
They definitely should be segregated from the general population of non-violent and mentally somewhat stable folks.
“Common-sense” gun laws would include UNIVERSAL training in the care, feeding and proper use of firearms by all kinds of people, which would help weed out the violent and/or mentally ill at a fairly early point, with a requirement that EVERY household have at least one person well-schooled in firearms safety, and preferably everybody over the age of 14. And with the firearm within easy reach of that designated person or persons.
A similar program works in Switzerland, where every adult male citizen of that country is also a part of the Swiss Army reserve, and may be called upon up to age 65 as part of the militia.
And the last time Switzerland was invaded? Check the history books. I think it was about the time Hannibal crossed the Alps.
So Amy Schumer is the hot new comedienne. I didn’t even have a chance to like her before she opened her mouth and spewed liberal BS and got me to hate her.

Jennifer Lawrence and Amy Schumer’s holiday in the sun continues – and it looks like things are getting a little Girls Gone Wild.
A group of women that includes our new favorite BFFs were photographed on a yacht, with some uninhibited ladies flashing their breasts at a passing Block Island Ferry in the Long Island Sound, a source tells PEOPLE.
Schumer, 34, and her gal pals were “drinking and having fun,” says the source.

After being complimented by how great her legs looked in the movie Trainwreck, Amy was totally thankful, and admitted that the film’s costume designer did like to put her in clothes that were just short enough to “make you uncomfortable.” But things took a downward turn when the male interviewer asked, “Do you have the word ‘skanky’ in America?”
Don’t believe her defenders. Amy Schumer’s jokes are racist.
Joking or not, she used her stage to play and profit off race while people of color bear the brunt of racial violence.
the Guardian published a piece calling out Schumer’s “shockingly large blind spot around race.” It cited Schumer’s stint as the MTV movie awards host, where she joked that Latina women are “crazy.” In one of her stand-up routines, Schumer also says, “Nothing works 100 percent of the time, except Mexicans.” In another bit, she blithely told an audience that Latino men are rapists. “I used to date Hispanic guys, but now I prefer consensual.”
Sadly true. Even worse they take their liberal ideas with them being unable to make the logical connection that they're moving to get away from confiscatory taxes that their very own voting patterns caused. SO they vote liberal in FL thus fouling their new nest.
Wherever he is he is surrounded by his armed bodyguards. Gun control is for the little people.

States submit all necessary records - that means Obama’s govn. will decide which records they want about you and the state has to give that info. to them or the state will be “penalized” (read that as a likely millions of dollars fine for each offense of not giving Obama the records he wants about you).
This means your medical records are going to the govn. IN CASE you ever buy a gun or another gun if you already have one.
If this goes into effect, and Texas sends Obama my medical records, I won't be able to buy a gun. Why is that? Because I take a small pill of small dosage to stop excess electricity going from my brain to my muscles - I have diagnosed Fibromyalgia. That little pill is vital to my health. I was at the point I couldn't walk due to pain in my feet and all over my body - I was hobbling using a cane. I went to a neurologist and he diagnosed my problem and gave me that little pill, take one at night. Within three days, I was outside washing my car. I have never missed taking one of those little pills at night and I function fine.
Now, that pill in a large dose is used as an anti-depression pill. The name of that pill would be sent to Obama’s gun guys, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives, and I would be put on a list of people who couldn't buy a gun. You see, they won't consider the small dosage used for neurological purposes, just the name of the pill.
I have told you in detail about me so you can consider what is on your medical record, any diagnosis or any pill in your complete medical record that could be used to stop your buying a gun.
I hope this legislation goes nowhere, but consider the recent actions of Boehner and McConnell, and IT COULD BE PASSED by both houses. This is another destruction of our liberty and I fear this one will pass since B and M have lost their minds, giving Obama what he wants.
One other problem is this: Will they go after people with medical records/lists of medicines they don't like, and take away the guns these people already have? I think, in time, they would because they can - no one is safe with their legal possession of a gun they now have if this bill passes.

He can also find any news camera within a five mile radius of his location - regardless of the number of visual obstructions situated between him and said camera.
That would be very difficult for them to do in my case, since I have made it known on many occasions that all of my firearms were lost in a TBA*, on the deepest part of the Chesapeake Bay, during the first week of November, 2008 - and I have not purchased a single one ince then.
* TBA = Tragic Boating Accident

Thanks for your post - you are number one of the replies I knew would post when I wrote that. There have been more boating accidents with Freepers with guns than anywhere in the world. All lakes in this country are filled with guns on the bottom of the lake. I would bet fishermen in this country are always dragging up guns their fishhooks catch. :o)
