If government won’t defund the murdering dead baby eating Nazis at Planned Parenthood, then it is time for us to defund the murdering dead baby eating government.

I’m not doing this anymore.

And Mitch McConnell can go to Hell where he belongs.

We as taxpayers are a party to the baby butchering operation as we provide the necessary financial support! (Of course we are forced to do so ... ultimately at the point of a gun!)

And sometimes it is the voter who is demanding the theater. Life is on the cusp of the surreal today.

Which allows him to say “See, I didn’t have the votes but I saved it for later.” It’s a scam.

All impotent sentiments if we refuse to know the Lord.

* Why did McConnell change his vote to no at the end? *

Because he wants to punch us Conservatives in the nose and his arms are too short to punch God in the nose.

Therefore, he decided to do something to offend us and God in one action.

This was exactly as McConnell planned it by rejecting the prior amendment that would have passed, and putting it as a stand alone, subject to filibuster, which he knew would fail.

Compliments of the ill-conceived 17th Amendment imo.

What do you expect from a party that voted to take God out of their platform during the 2012 elections?

This was defund. It is budget reconciliation. That vote only needs 50+1. Does McConnell think we are that stupid?

Motion to reconsider. Agreed that it is to save face, because they only reconsider the stuff they really want to pass.

Me too. If the money was only used to cover costs of retrieval and shipping, then where are the shipping receipts? Where are the pay stubs of those retrieval “experts”? Did they pay taxes on those funds or were they paid under the table? (Especially since what they were doing was covered up all along.)

Voting "no" on a cloture motion, so as to be able to bring it up again as "reconsideration," is a joke.

A failed cloture motion doesn't dispose of the underlying bill, it keeps debate alive. A passed cloture motion limits debate. There are instances where a SINGLE issue was given as many as 7 separate cloture votes!

The Senate is an utterly dysfunctional deliberative body.

If we cannot get something like this to pass, God help us.

God, have mercy on us...

Look, I don't care if they had 60 votes. It still wouldn't matter because ZEro will veto. So the only real test we will have is if we have either a pro-life GOP Pres OR 67 votes in the Senate. And believe me, when you get 66, the pressure on that last guy/gal will be as much as you've ever seen.

We saw what happened to all those "pro-life Dems" who were "going to oppose" Obamacare cause of the abortion stuff. One at a time they were "satisfied" with the legislation.

Our government is truly the enemy of the American people and has become a immoral force in the world.

Our government -- Democrat Socialists and Republicans alike -- is forcing -- literally forcing -- taxpayers to fund a company that slaughters babies to profit from selling the organs.

Ted Cruz was right, as usual. He knew that McConnell would kill the defunding by putting it in a separate bill. That is why he tried to attach it to the highway bill. McConnell, the chief liar, would not let that amendment come to the floor, so the defunding bill died last week. Today was just the same stinky cover-up that allowed GOP senators to say they voted for defunding, but they knew they wouldn’t have six Democrats to get the 60 votes needed to override Hussein’s promised veto. They repeatedly pull this same stunt because their voters are stupid enough to keep them in office.

Christians have nothing good to look forward to from the evildoers in charge of our government. “It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man.” Psalm118:8.
