Many people no longer believe in real Evil because they’ve never seen it. What they do not realize is that they’ve seen it many times and have probably had lunch with it at least once. When you see Evil it won’t appear as a monster with horns. It will be sweet and friendly, beautiful even. You will shake its hand and wish it well never knowing its true identity.

Evil is real and it does exist.

To me, it is amazing that the two investigators remained so on-topic, calm and responded so characteristically as a meat middleman interested in subverting law might.

I’m afraid I’d have strangled the bitch right there at the restaurant while she was chomping her salad.

Ephesians 6:12
New International Version (NIV)

12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.

Years ago when I was active in AA I heard a young man say “I don’t believe in the devil.”

I said “At the end of this meeting we’re all going to stand and hold hands and recited the Lord’s prayer. In that prayer are the words ‘Deliver us from evil’. Where do you think that evil comes from ?”

He said “You gotta’ a point.”
