Their parents pay their taxes to support the public schools, and their kids are of age. If they live in the district, they should be able to participate.

It’s about time their families get to use some of the services they help pay for.

If you are a stockholder, yes. People who home-school their kids are still required to pay that portion of their property taxes that go to fund schools.
