As long as they are PAYING for the local public schools and have school age children, they should be allowed to utilize any part of it they so choose.

So.. they LIKE parts of public schools? Odd.. we never hear about it.

My point remains.. if you rail against and eschew a school.. you have no business being on their team.

Fine, then refund the parents ALL of their tax dollars to pay for the school and we have no problem. Otherwise, the children will be allowed to participate so long as their parents are POLITICALLY compelled by force of law to pay for it.
