It’s 8:30 AM in Hiroshima. The dust is beginning to fall. No one on the ground who is still alive understands what has happened. It is that they have become the sacrifice that will end the war, and restore Japan to peace and prosperity within one generation. At this moment, though, no one knows this.

That was a fascinating p9 nugget about the German U-Boat raft of relatively recent origin being found in the northern Gulf of Mexico just off the Florida coast. I did a quick search but couldn’t find additional info on it.
