NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -
Police are responding to a call of an active shooter at the Carmike 8 Cinemas on Bell Road in Antioch.
The incident occurred just after 1:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
Dispatch confirmed three EMS units have been sent to the scene.
Witnesses at a nearby business reported one person covered with blood.

I try my best not to go out anywhere either. I am a stay at home locked and loaded type of person!
I go back so far that 100 Oaks was the mall and where Hickory Hollow is was still uninhabited farmland. People of my era still think of Rivergate as the "new" mall.
As FReeper TNMOUTH rightly pointed out, Antioch/Tusculum and that Nolensville Road area has become the United Nations and that's a bad thing since --of course -- diversity is perversity. I call it the M&M part of Davidson County for the messkins and mooselimbs, both of whom utterly ruined what was a nice part of town in the 60s/70s.
So, WAS he a shooter or not? If the call that an active shooter came in at 1:13 p.m., but the police haven't found his gun inside the theater by 6 p.m., what the crap? Poor media, you could tell they wanted SO badly for this to be another madman with a gun attack..they kept on asking the cops “What kind of gun was it?” Notice they never asked “What kind of hatchet was it?” Just like with the Santa Barbara shooter, he killed three men with a knife but the media never focused on that, like those men never existed, it was all about the mean mean gun..oh and Vicente Montano doesn’t sound white to me..sounds Hispanic
Media and cops kept on calling him a white male, just like with the marines who were murdered in Chattanooga, first described as a white male, media ran with it, then OOPS a Muslim..OH NOES can’t be true..wonder if this guy was one of Obama’s many DREAMers

Montano had been committed for mental health care a total of four times, in 2004 and 2007, he said. He had also been reported as a missing person Aug. 3, Aaron said."

No. Neither are they describing him as hispanic. They just say he was identified as Vincente Montano. At first the police were saying he fired at them. Now: ""When he came at them in a threatening manner, they opened fire and the suspect is deceased," the chief said.
He sprayed pepper spray on folks in the theater and cut one guy with the hatchet.
