GOP Debate: The Republican Party Has No Plans to Fix Anything (Rats wetting their pants alert)
Blue Nation Review ^ | August 7, 2015 | Jesse Berney

Posted on 08/07/2015 2:58:51 AM PDT by Zakeet

The night was, beyond anything else, predictable. There were some fireworks — Megyn Kelly demanding Donald Trump defend his misogyny (“I’m not politically correct”), Chris Christie and Rand Paul in a spirited debate about whether and how to conduct surveillance on the American people — but for 90 percent of their first presidential debate, Republicans said exactly what you’d expect.

They’ll repeal Obamacare. They’ll undo President Obama’s nuclear deal with Iran. They’ll cut taxes, mostly in ways that favor the wealthiest Americans. They don’t like transgender people in the military, and ISIS is somehow Obama’s fault.

What was on display Thursday night was a party with no plans to solve the problems that Americans actually face. There were no details about helping students buried under student loans, or parents who would like to spend more than a week or two with a newborn child. They want to shut down Planned Parenthood but don’t want to help women — or men or children for that matter — get the health care they need.

There were moments of humanity, like Ohio Governor John Kasich admitting he recently attended a friend’s same-sex wedding, and that he’d love and accept his daughters just as much if they were gay. That got applause from the audience, surprising just four years after another Republican debate audience booed a gay veteran.

And there were moments of ugly inhumanity, like when Ben Carson, a doctor and a deeply committed Christian, called our ban on torture “stupid” and “politically incorrect.”

What was missing entirely was real solutions. Solutions for climate change and creating jobs. Solutions for criminal justice reform and the immigration crisis. The Republican party showed us the best it had to offer Thursday night. It wasn’t much.

Those bad old pubs will repeal Obamacare ... undo Obama’s nuclear deal with Iran ... cut taxes ... kick transgender drag queens out of the military ... get tough on ISIS ... but other than that, they won't fix anything!

This author must be a left-leaning hack. None gave their solutions for problems because, gee whiz, they were allowed one minute to talk and 30 seconds for rebuttal. They will give their possible solutions on the campaign trail. Some people are so clueless.

About the debate on Fox last night I’d just like to say.

Fox News used to be the toast of conservatives, now Fox News is toast to conservatives.

Faux News now part of the media cabal.

Yup. It's frustrating that Beck has been shut out from buying a cable station. Maybe he should find an intermediate buyer.

The Republican Party Has No Plans to Fix Anything (Rats wetting their pants alert)

There is a HUGE difference in the word FIX and REPAIR.

In my technical world the word “fix” means to stop a leak with a bandaid and the word “repair” is to actually replace the section of pipe that is leaking. One is temporary and will not work long while the other will not fail and last a very long time.

Republicans and Democrats = “fix.”

Donald Trump = “repair.”

Over the years the Democrats and liberals have “fixed” the problems they perceive as America’s ills...not “repair” them.

“I cannot believe FoxNews acted like that.”.........

The FoxNews people are sounding and acting just like demodummies, very disappointing and something I didn’t expect. All they did was set the stage for the demodummies to continue the “negative” attacks. Prior to the debates, they did indicate there would be “hard-ball” questions and they didn’t disappoint in that respect except when it came to Bush, even a kid could have hit those.

As I see it, Bush is their pick as a rino candidate. Trump may be a BIG TIME spoiler if they do.

What was missing entirely was real solutions.

The format did not allow any discussion beyond a top line talking point. There were a few whiffs and dodges, but overall I thought the answers were reasonably solid given the time constraints.

The single biggest takeaway from last night was Trump's answer to the first question. IMHO, he disqualified himself at the start.

What gave it away?

There were no details about helping students buried under student loans, or parents who would like to spend more than a week or two with a newborn child. They want to shut down Planned Parenthood but don’t want to help women — or men or children for that matter — get the health care they need.

Climate change??????????? WTF? How absolutely stupid (not ignorant...stupid) does one have to be to believe in that scam?

Creating jobs???????????? What kind of jobs? local, state and federal government created jobs by the stroke of a government pen or regulation?

NO! We need PRIVATE jobs created by real people who provide things that we actually need. The only way to do that is to completely remove any government restrictions that hinder the ability to hire, fire, operate or run a business based upon total freedom to make it or fail...and that includes restrictions in regards to employee pay.

As a business owner for over 35 years I am painfully aware of the ever rising cost of government regulations that have taken place over those many years and the freedom to actually run a business.

Each year it gets worse and as it does, the cost of running a business increases while the profits go down.

And Fox has set the bar very low. Just wait for the other MSM networks one-upsmanship or in this case one-downsmanship falling over themselves showing us how much better they can be at tripping up the candidates.

Blue Nation is a bed-wetting site for brainless, liberal millennials. A bunch of mommies need to volunteer to enter the basement and change their diapers.
