IRS's Lois Lerner called conservatives 'a**holes' in emails
Washington Examiner ^ | 8/7/15 | Susan Ferrichio

Posted on 08/07/2015 3:53:37 AM PDT by markomalley

A trove of IRS emails show top official Lois Lerner had a deep commitment to the Democratic Party and a significant dislike for the new conservative grassroots groups that formed under the Tea Party banner and sought tax-exempt status from the agency.

"Crazies" and "assholes," were the blunt terms Lerner used to describe conservatives, who, with a Supreme Court decision striking down the campaign finance reform law, were bringing about "an end to America," she wrote.

The emails are included in a bipartisan report issued Wednesday by the Senate Finance Committee, which cited "gross mismanagement" and also "personal politics" as the root cause of the IRS mishandling of tax-exempt applications from Tea Party organizations.

Democrats on the panel emphasized the mismanagement, declaring there was no evidence the groups were singled out because they were conservative. They cited lack of training, lack of oversight and ineptitude as the main culprits in the mishandling of hundreds of tax-exempt applicants that were subjected to extra scrutiny and delays.

"The results of this in-depth, bipartisan investigation showcase pure bureaucratic mismanagement without any evidence of political interference," said Sen. Ron Wyden of Oregon, the top Democrat on the finance panel.

But Lerner, the former top official who oversaw tax-exempt groups, showed a true dislike for conservative-leaning organizations, according to her email conversations with her husband and associates.

"Well, you should hear the whacko wing of the GOP," her husband, Michael Miles, wrote to Lerner in November 2012.

"The US is through; too many foreigners sucking the teat; time to hunker down, buy ammo and food, and prepare for the end. The right wing radio shows are scary to listen to."

Lerner responds, "Great. Maybe we are through if there are that many assholes."

Lerner declares "WooHoo" in another November 2012 email after learning Democrats held on to the Senate majority.

At one point in 2011, Lerner contemplated auditing a group tied to Bristol Palin, the daughter of Tea Party favorite and former Republican vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin.

According to the Finance Committee report, Lerner began weighing the audit "upon receiving an article" that said a teen pregnancy organization would pay Palin more $332,500.

Finance Committee Republicans said Lerner's treatment of Crossroads GPS, a conservative group founded by GOP strategist Karl Rove, "shows her bias against conservative organizations that sought tax-exempt status — and her close connections to outside liberal advocacy groups."

According to the report, emails show Lerner singled out Crossroads GPS for special scrutiny after outside liberal groups and House Democrats complained about the group's political activity.

Although Donald Trump appeared to dominate much of the attention during the first Republican primary debate, it was actually former Gov. Mike Huckabee, R-Ark., that offered the night's biggest moment. Following the debate, pollster Frank Luntz revealed it was one line in particular from the former Fox News host that saw a nearly 100 percent approval from focus group participants. "It never happens in the dial research that we do," said Luntz. Find out what the line was by watching here.

Emails show Lerner repeatedly intervening with the decisions made by her subordinates not to audit the group.

"You should know that we are working on a denial of the application, which may solve the problem because we probably will say it isn't exempt," Lerner said in one email to a subordinate. "Please make sure all moves regarding the [organization] are coordinated up here before we do anything."

The finance panel sifted through thousands of emails from Lerner, including 1,300 messages that were recovered after the IRS declared them lost due to a damaged hard drive.

Lerner served as director of exempt organizations from 2006 until 2013, when she was placed on administrative leave after an inspector general's report cited targeting of conservative tax-exempt applicants under her watch.

While Lerner has denied wrongdoing and has declined to answer questions before congressional investigators, her emails clearly show her partisan leaning.

"There can be little doubt that Lois Lerner's personal political views directed the course of IRS interactions with a large number of tax-exempt organizations," Finance Committee Republicans concluded in the report. "The IRS's treatment of these organizations was almost universally consistent with Lerner's personal political views this is, supporting Democratic candidates and opposing conservative tax-exempt organizations that engaged in political speech. Conservative organizations that sought to participate in the nation's political discourse, such as the Tea Party, drew the strongest ire from Lerner."

But Democrats on the committee filed their own report that included evidence, they say, showing that only mismanagement, and not politics, were at play.

Democrats said the 2013 inspector general's report that found conservative groups were singled out by the IRS actually "contributed to a misimpression that the controversy was politically motivated."

Democrats said interviews with 32 IRS employees and the review of 1.5 million IRS documents "found no evidence of political motivation driving the heightened scrutiny of Tea Party and conservative groups and the subsequent delays in processing their tax-exempt applications."

Funny how she thinks that Conservatives are bringing down America when it’s actions like hers that are doing so!

I don’t see how the IRS survives into the next administration. Plain flat tax, and dissolve IRS to 500 employees in a matter of two years. We won’t require their services, or the excessive fees of tax lawyers/accountants. Simplify the system and we all come out ahead.

“I don’t see how the IRS survives into the next administration.”

An organization like the IRS has no place in a free Republic. Unfortunately it fits in just fine in a corrupt decaying oligarchy like the USA.

The ability to manipulate the tax code provides enormous political power to legislators and the executive branch. This applies to both parties. These people will never yield this power willingly.

Lerner's sleight of hand "Email Magic Act" (now you see 'em, now you don't), and using the IRS to suppress conservatives, are more nauseating examples of the Obama admin’s contempt for Americans.

POINTS TO PONDER--let's follow the money:

<><> So where did Lerner got $$hundreds of thousands to pay high-price lawyers to protect her sorry behind?

<><> Mishandling of public funds maybe?....maybe bribes?...maybe paybacks?

<><><> Lois has lots of info Dems could use---maybe she sold info to the highest bidder?

<><><> Lerner once saved the *** of Cong Dickie Durbin (Dem-Ill)---maybe ol' Dick put in a line item in a budget bill that regularly spits out tax dollars to a secret numbered account offshore?

<><><> BOMBSHELL-- Lerner was angling for a job w/ Obamba's fund-raising giant. Did OFA kick in a few bucks? OFA's books need intense scrutiny N-O-W.

<><><> Maybe the buck-raking Clintons' tax-exempt foundation was tapped for a (cough) grant?

Course, Lerner's assistance to Obama's plans for tax-exempt buck-raking Foundations may not be going unrewarded, either.

Amazing how Lerner hits the "fast-track" when the WH order appears (snix).....

OBAMA's KENYAN HALF-BROTHER HEADS THE OBAMA FOUNDATION--in honor of their father

Kenya-resident, Malik Obama in Muslim dress, holds up
photo of his half brother Obama in Muslim dress, taken
during an earlier visit.

MORE HERE http://shoebat.com/shoebat-foundation/obamas-wahhabist-fundraising-empire

BACKSTORY---The Barack H. Obama Foundation (BHOF) is run by Malik (who lives in Kenya)---to honor Malik and Obama's late dad. It was fast-tracked by Lois Lerner for IRS tax-exempt status.

The BHOF is based at a Virginia UPS store, according to its website. The organization’s IRS filings list another Virginia address that is actually a drug rehab center where the foundation does not appear ever to have been based.

As first reported by The Daily Caller, the foundation was speedily approved for IRS exemption by Lois Lerner, the self-same IRS senior official at the center of the targeting of conservative organizations that have waited over two years to receive tax exempt status. The IRS thoughtfully gave the Obama Foundation retroactive fund-raising status.......which it stupidly never applied for.

To get tax-exempt status, the foundation cooked-up a mission statement: “to provide people everywhere with resources to uplift their welfare and living standards in memory of dad---Barack H. Obama: in the region of his birth, Kenya, and beyond.” Its guiding principle is “the inherent belief that no one can truly enjoy the riches he has reaped if his neighbor suffers....."We seek to elevate the human condition so that everyone can live in dignity and truly enjoy having one another as neighbors.”

(waiting for hysterical laughter to die down)

Despite raising more than $250,000, the alleged charity doesn’t seem to have done much. Its website claims the organization has built a madrassa and was building an imam’s house as well as some “proposed latrines,” but there is no other evidence that the nonprofit was working to “mitigate social-shortcomings in areas of education and literacy, health and well-being, poverty, and lack of community infrastructure in such basic needs such as water, electricity, shelter and sustenance,” as the site says.

Alton Ray Baysden, a former Dept of State employee, allegedly a registered Republican, who helped start the Barack H Obama foundation, declined to comment before seeing copies of a reporter’s passport and govt ID, along with a description of the article’s “motivation” and “slant.”

Repeated reporters' phone calls went to the organization’s voicemail and were not returned.

===================================================

US TAXPAYERS PAY NOW---Obama collects later.

There's multi- million dollar Obama Foundation donations, six-figure honoraria, consultancies, wealth-producing insider business deals w/ oil-rich African countries.

Obama's federal outlays (that we know of).:

<><> $150 billion to "peace-loving" Iran for the nuke deal;

<><> $2 billion funding to Malik's employer---the Muslim Brotherhood,

<><> $50 million to Malik/Barack's tax-exempt foundation in the form of a grant to Kenya.

<><> While the Muslim Brotherhood was in charge in Egypt, Obama (and Hillary) showered them w/ praise.....and billions of US dollars in aid, arms, tanks and planes.

<><> Obama gave $90 million US tax dollars to wealthy oil-rich African countries.

<><> billions still missing from Obamacre.

This commie crook is supposed to be in prison. Hopefully, once the Kenyan moves out of the Rainbow Palace, the next president will have her indicted. She’s an America-hating crook.

They are worse than impotent.

They refuse to deal with tax nazis, illegal invaders, Muslim collaborators and even marketers of infant organs and body parts....precisely because they love their tiny allotment of power more than they do any question of right or wrong, good or evil.

DISMANTLE IRS. Prison for GESTAPO abusers.

6. But the grand nostrum will be a public debt...

7. It must not be forgotten that the members of the legislative body are to have a deep stake in the game…

8. (4) A great debt will require great taxes; great taxes, many taxgatherers and other officers; and all officers are auxiliaries of power.

9. The management of a great funded debt and an extensive system of taxes will afford a plea, not to be neglected, for establishing a great incorporated bank.

10. “Divide and govern”

11. As soon as sufficient progress in the intended change shall have been made, and the public mind duly prepared according to the rules already laid down, it will be proper to venture on another and a bolder step toward a removal of the constitutional landmarks.

Wasn’t there also a case of that harpy offering to drop IRS harassment against a man as long as he’d agree to never run for public office again?

This woman shouldn’t go to prison. That’s too good for her. I’m thinking she needs to be placed in stocks on public display. Then tarred & feathered.

Man, I wish we cold axe the IRS with tax reform. What an evil organization. Tax collectors have been mean and corrupt since the days of the Bible. The IRS and a bunch of other agencies abuse their power and make life in America less free and happy.

DOE should go - period! Education is local.

The EPA has to be reigned in big time. But we can not trust businesses and corporations with no ethics, as is the state of business today with globalization, not to kill us to make a dime so we need the EPA in a limited way.

ATF has run one too many sneaky, illegal, murderous operations against Americans.

The CIA has armed one too many Islamic terrorists.

The State Department (the mini-UN) has stabbed America in the back around a million too many times.

HUD has paid off one too many shysters in the name of low income housing schemes. It is a corrupt and racist organization.

Homeland inSecurity is a police state organization that has turned against and embarrassed Americans. It needs to go. We are armed and I would rather be free and deal with the hating Islamists with other Americans than be a slave to a nasty police state militarized organization.

Obama has made the DOD a dishonorable mess and a danger to the US - making war plans against Americans within their war colleges without a peep from the uniparty.
