Ted did a great job with the question, and I wouldn’t just blame Kelly; the three moderators were in meetings for days coming up with questions...I suspect Kelly may have, (probably) pushed the stupid war on women-Rosie O’Doughnut question, but from what was said for well over a week, the questions came from Fox internal collaboration.

Didn’t listen or watch, but you all sure that it wasn’t a setup between Ted and Megyn? An act maybe to help Ted bring up the subject of God?

The best answer would have been to sigh and look at one's fingernails, and say, "Well, actually, neither Obama nor Hillary have called me recently..." then grin.
Then challenge her on the last Dem convention voting God out of their platform.

She's hit the Wall and needs more and more makeup and plastic surgery to give the illusion of still possessing those looks which she used to get where she is.

Ever since megyn has been on Fox, I”ve watched the men fawn over her. They give her preferential treatment. She knows it too and uses it.
That sneer she wore last night turned me off her for good. There isn’t enough room for her in my TV.
Bret disappointed me last night also. I had more respect for him than he showed when he “had a plan for Trump” and used it.

I hope you’re being sarcastic.
If not, please don’t vote.

Well, I am blessed to receive a word from God every day in receiving the scriptures and reading the scriptures. And God speaks through the Bible, Cruz replied, to applause. And Cruz didn't even call her names on Twitter afterward.

“For someone, Megyn, who allegedly is brilliant, this was a really stupid question. And they say that there is no such thing as a stupid question. Obviously, there is!”
I beg to differ. There is no such thing as a stupid question, only stupid people who ask them.

Republicans are going to have to re-invent debates. Our media is too stupid and corrupt to handle the task anymore. They succeeded in making me miss Jim Lehrer.

I thought Cruz’s answer was very well done.
He has my vote, at this point.

You remember correctly; it was a FB submitted question. She is a tough interviewer with all equally.

I think that Megyn Kelly did a favour to the candidates by asking them the question(s) they should have an easily ready response and by weeding out early those who have no reasonable response to a simple question that will be sure to come up in a more serious future debates in a more hostile environment and under tougher scrutiny. If a candidate is unprepared to answer this and similar questions that come supposedly "from the left" (as it was characterized about 4 years ago about a question put to another putative GOP candidate in the primary) - then he/she doesn't know the answer and doesn't belong on a stage or ready to be a candidate.
Better to get these out early and for us to know who is viable, and for them to know what they can expect and be prepared.
Thank God for small favours.
Well stated, CutePuppy!

I disagree. It almost looked like an attorney (Kelly) prepping her client (Cruz) for a deposition or testimony with the opposition (MSM, Dems). Cruz handled it masterfully, I thought, without turning off the less-religious folks, atheists, liberals, and agnostics. It demonstrated his ability to handle a hand grenade very well. This is the big leagues and they all need to be prepared for questions like this from the enemy. Better to fail now than after you got the nomination. Fox can move on to more substantive questions after the field has been winnowed.Good points.

Another good point you have here.
She had a job to do, which was to help the viewers learn more about the candidates who want to run our country. She's always a tough interviewer. I'd rather have tough now, so we can weed out the fluff candidates who are good at giving prepared speeches and sound bites but useless at actually thinking through an issue or question.
