So here I was kind of watching Trump do all the interviews after the debate. And he was going after every journalist, by name, who said anything negative about him. And when he does that he'll usually mock, ridicule or denigrate them. It's very clear and very purposeful.
Now Trump detractors attribute that to being "thin skinned" or that he's some kind of baby that can't take tough questions. Really? The guy has been a player in the cutthroat world of business and finance for decades.
This is clearly a tactic. And then it hit me.
Recognize this?
RULE 5: Ridicule is mans most potent weapon. There is no defense. Its irrational. Its infuriating. It also works as a key pressure point to force the enemy into concessions. (Pretty crude, rude and mean, huh? They want to create anger and fear.)
or this?
RULE 12: Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it. Cut off the support network and isolate the target from sympathy. Go after people and not institutions; people hurt faster than institutions. (This is cruel, but very effective. Direct, personalized criticism and ridicule works.)
These are Alinskys rules for radicals and it's *exactly* what Trump is doing to every media person that is tearing him down. Megyn Kelly? No talent, unprofessional, bimbo. Luntz, conniving, childlike manipulator.
Donald Trump has found THE way to attack the media. He's never going to get good press coverage. Libs always will. So his choice is to either play patty cake with leftists in the hopes that the press will be nice to him...OR...he can destroy the press, control the narrative, and craft his own image.
Holy cow no wonder Trump is scaring the crap out the the left and the media. He's using their own freaking playbook against them!
In one deft move he's marginalizing the left's biggest weapon, the sycophant press.
Look at his interviews. He's doing it with all those who are speaking negatively about him. Ridicule, sarcasm, and personal attacks.
Like him or not THIS is the only way any conservative ever has a chance to win. I think this is a purposeful plan and he's at least 15 steps ahead of anyone else right now AND doing conservatives a huge favor by clearing out the pressitutes.
Daniel Greenfield—
If conservatives don’t realize however that what they are striving to conserve is greater than themselves, this has the danger of pulling their cause into the gutter. If God wanted ultimately to be gutter, He could have sent us all to hell eons ago and it would have been deserved.
Do not forget, when up to the neck in alligators, that the objective is to drain the swamp.
The one thing that is an absolute fact. The Donald has knocked the donor class off thier feet.
“Alinsky you magnificent bastard, I read YOUR BOOK!”
yeah, but you gotta kill some gators before you'll be able to get to the plug.
Hillary’s camp, (nor Hillary herself), have responded to Carly. That tells me that they are scared of her and don’t want to give Carly’s statement any more press than they have to.
We can’t let it turn into a sideshow is what I say. Keep an eye on the ball. Perhaps Cruz better represents the ball than Trump does.
I believe The Donald is waking up the low information voters.
Trump has uncorked a boatload of public concern and if that is all he does in the end, bravo.
This looks like one of those God-appointed things. If one follows the stories of the bible, one often sees heroes that would not be expected, rising out of obscurity.
One thing weird, Fox was claiming that the debate hurt Trump badly in their focus group. But in general polling no such thing is seen.
I think Cruz is great. But when the press realized they couldn't best him or ridicule him they ignored him.
Trump can't be ignored. The media whores know that if he's on they'll increase their ratings. They worship money almost more then they worship Satan...almost.
Trump was interviewed on the Don Lemon show on CNN. He said that Luntz (the focus group dude) tried to sell him his services to focus group his real estate stuff. He told him no, that won't work. The deals will be over long before they focus group it. He implied that Luntz was paying him back for not hiring his group. Oh and it was a pretty funny story..he said that Luntz also wanted an airplane ride so he gave him an airplane ride.
This looks like a God-ordained thing.
Few conservatives actually want Trump personally. But God has caused Trump and grass roots to interact in such a way that a larger cause than personalities is being lifted up.
And we can’t really rely on personalities in the end. Idolization is as bad when it comes from the right as when it comes from the left. The body politic has gotten lazy. Yet in the words of a song, Trump has gotten on the roof and kicked off the mud.
Let us begin giving glory to God which is where it belongs. Glory to Trump would clearly be misplaced.
I guess ultimately everything is God ordained. I'm not sure whether having a President Trump or President anybody would be good or bad. Hopefully it's good and God will give our country a few more years. But I'm sure enjoying watching all the lefties squirming.
Their personal careers get big bumps just interviewing Trump. They all want to be part of it.
Remember waaaaaaaaaaaaay back? “NO king but JESUS”?
No, if we are convinced our future depends on how we have behaved, what we have ginned up as humans, it is nothing but grim.
But if we are convinced it depends on an everlasting hope that can’t spoil or fade in spite of the worst that man has hurled at it, that too will come to pass.
My new bumper sticker says “SAVE AMERICA, KILL AN ALINSKYITE!”
My respect for him (already large) grew when I heard that one.
I liked Carson too.
