Erick Erickson Disinvites Trump From Red State Gathering Over Megyn Kelly Insults
The Daily Caller ^ | Saturday, August 8, 2015 | Kerry Picket

Posted on 08/07/2015 10:46:29 PM PDT by kristinn

Red State’s Erick Erickson dis-invited GOP presidential candidate and businessman Donald Trump after he insulted Fox News anchor and Thursday night’s debate moderator Megyn Kelly during a CNN interview Friday night.

I have rescinded my invitation to Mr.Trump. While I have tried to give him great latitude, his remark about Megyn Kelly was a bridge too far — Erick Erickson (@EWErickson) August 8, 2015

“Well I just don’t respect her as a journalist. I have no respect for her. I think she’s highly overrated. But when I came out there what was I doing I’m not getting paid for this. I go out there. And you know they start saying lift up. And you know I didn’t know there would be 24 million people I figured but I knew it was going to be a big crowd because I get big crowds I get ratings they call me the ratings machine so I have you know she she gets out and she starts asking me all sorts of ridiculous questions,” Trump said to CNN’s Don Lemon.

He went further saying, “And you could see there was blood coming out of her eyes blood coming out of her — whatever. She was in my opinion — she was off-base. And by the way, not in my opinion, in the opinion of hundreds of thousands of people on Twitter because it has been a brutal day. In one way a great day for Fox. in another day in the Twitter sphere it’s been very bad because she’s been very badly criticized. She’s a lightweight. I couldn’t care less about her.”

I'm still glad Trump joined the GOP circus with his plain talk on issues. However, he will not make it to the end stretch and I only hope his support goes to Cruz.

Cruz/Fiorina!

Just saw fatass Erickson give a speech to the “RedState” gathering and said Trump was unprofessional and his children and wife would be at the event and he didnt want them exposed to filthy talk coming from Trump. It is the lead story on CNN. Erickson is getting all the candidates to weigh in. So far Huckabee and Pataki have trashed Trump for his “demeaning” remarks about Kelly.
It never ends with these morons trying to destroy him. Erickson said if Trump would apologize to Kelly he MIGHT let him attend.
Hell would freezer over first. Trump apologizes to no one and in this incident he has no reason to apologize. The bastards.

Trump made virtually the same comment about Chris Wallace — “Blood coming out of his eyes too”. Erickson miss that?

It’s not too hard to see why Erickson and the rest of the GeeOpie media fluffers are threatened by Trump: They’re increasingly irrelevant.

She is an American, what? You hold out having sex with multiple women as some great Christian act?? Wow, some people really get carried away with their Trump worship.

Stop with the shaming language, Einstein.

The point is not that having slept with multiple women makes him a good candidate: but that it made him immune to Kelly's favorite stratagem.

And she is so vapid and shallow she didn't even envisage the possibility, let alone have a plan B.

For the record, I'm not a Trump worshipper: none of the candidates are good enough for me: all of them have either policy or personal red flags. If we could average three or four of them we'd have a candidate I could support.

Huckabee and Pataki are nobodies.

Huckabee had some good lines during the debate (e.g. #PimpTax) but as candidates, or as movers-and-shakers, they are insignificant, as is Erick.

There was a candidate that mentioned Alinsky, but I can’t remember who now.

I thought I remembered that he said it about Chris Wallace too. Thanks, for saving me from having to find it on the video.

This is a big hatchet job on the Donald. Good thing he didn’t take the pledge.

Erickson is overwrought on this one.

I honestly after listening to that can make absolutely no comment about how Trump might have finished that sentence. I do not have a clue. There are so many reasons for his breaking off the sentence, there are so many ways he could have finished the sentence....so to decide Trump definitely meant XYZ is dishonest.

To be fair, the Trump quote about Megyn Kelly (by way of the Daily Caller) included in this post was incorrect. Trump actually said:

“You could see there was blood coming out of her eyes. Blood coming out of her WHEREVER.”

If one actually reads the Erickson article in Red State, he indicated that the Tump team tried to clarify this statement to mean “Blood coming out of her - WHATEVER”.

Words sometimes mean things! The question for everyone: Despite Trump’s refreshing approach to politics and the truth, do we really want a misogynistic pig in the White house? Just saying....

1, Erikson has a demented mind and like the dirty joke where the filth is in the mind of the listener hears in his diminished mind vulgarity
2. Since Erikson is a Fox contributor he is helping his bosses Save Kelly ‘s hide by making her the innocent victim (This side can be supported by her two cohorts claiming the questions etc were all devised by the group bah bah blah) have you read any of the 40,000+ comments on her FB or Twitter - vitriolic!
3, since he is know to be an agent of Gopee he’s hoping for special interviewed etc to enhance his business
4. He’s a pervert and is hoping for a hit!
5. All or part of above.
POLL WILL BE CLOSED WHEN WE GET ENOUGH VOTES TO SINK HIS BOAT! (Isn’t that how they set theirs up?)

>>This is a big hatchet job on the Donald.

It’s consistent with how “conservative” { uhh } “but progressive” folks handle people who don’t agree with them these days:

The Donald is getting PIPed by the GeeOpie.

Erickson is an big fool. I think he is just using this to create some buzz for himself. Megyn Kelly is NOT fair to conservatives, and has no place in a serious conservative discussion. To call her a “moderator” for that debate is a big joke.

He would or could have gone on to say, out of her mouth, her ears, etc.... but people are choosing to harp of the ‘feminine’ aspect, and that’s actually the problem of those who chose to infer that meaning.

There has yet to be a sign that The Donald becomes confused or loses his train of thought. He knows full well what he is saying, but I doubt it’s what Erickson and others have chosen to think.

He may have realized after he said it that it could be misinterpreted. So he stopped. He said the same thing about Chris Wallace that blood was coming out of his eyes. So why isn’t that being reported.

well I have never seen blood coming out of someone’s eyes nor heard anyone use that expression. It was certainly a bizarre choice of words. I see no reason to ban him from an event because of his statements but I do find them odd and unusual. Probably the tip of the iceberg and more to come from Donald.
