Trump on blood remark: no apology necessary, 'I cherish women'

Embattled Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump hit back on Sunday at critics who say he went too far with caustic comments about a U.S. television news anchor, insisting no apology was necessary and defending his relations with women.

Trump is under fire for criticizing Fox anchor Megyn Kelly during and after a Republican debate on Thursday. Asked about Kelly in a CNN interview on Friday, Trump said: "You could see there was blood coming out of her eyes. Blood coming out of her wherever."

The real estate mogul and television personality, who remains ahead of his 16 rivals in the race for the 2016 Republican presidential nomination, appeared on Sunday news shows to rebut the outrage triggered by his off-the-cuff talk.

I’m not...just trying to explain to Trump people that their guy, the Democrat, is doing himself more harm than good.

No one who is politically savvy thinks Trump is a true conservative.

I support Ted Cruz as the candidate for the 2016 election. You have called him a leftist, by proxy, twice.

Can I put my name on it too?

No, but Trump met with Cruz in NYC recently.

And Cruz has not criticized Trump like the other wacko-birds have that are running.

Politics makes strange bedfellows as the saying goes.

I think Trump and Cruz have a mutual respect going for each other, and the country would be well served if there was combo ticket in the future.

So long as they keep asking, he will keep calling them deviants, thus destroying their reputation.

He will also be happy to let them keep raising it so that folks will forever associate her with blood pouring from her Vagina, thus destroying her as a sex symbol for people such as yourself.

You mad Bro?

Trump is a lot of things but fraud isn’t one of them. But I get it you want him to shut up while everyone who hates him attacks him until he goes away. Sorry that is just not going to happen.

I would say add me, but TinMouth’s voice generates so many well thought out rebuttals I want to see him stay.

Fair enough.

I don’t like his style, myself. Classic disrupter.

I take it this is not one of TinMouth's "well thought out rebuttals". :)

I don’t think what you said is true.

So let’s see it play out for awhile.

But he is not doing himself more harm than good.
He is absolutely killing it.
If he had you as his strategist, he would just throw in his cards and give up.
I can’t tell if you want to promote conservatives who cannot beat the MSM/RNC, or if you really are Republican who would rather let Hillary win than vote for someone other than Cruz.

Cruz will be seen as hard right by the crossovers and independants if he wins the nomination. Furthermore, he is hated by the entrenched GOP. He needs Trump to lead the charge so that he can be V.P. And then take power later in his career. Cruz is not stupid and neither are you.

Which is it?

Hey Laz, you couldn’t pay me to support Trump or Jeb.

Actually, I probably could. :) Given enough millions, you'd yield. :)

But seriously, that's your right. I actually do not support Trump as a candidate, I have too much suspicion of him as a turncoat.

If he goes third party on a Cruz nomination, it will be obvious he is a turncoat. I will do all I can to see that effort fail.

If he goes third party on a Jeb nomination, I'd actually welcome that. Jeb and Hillary are only .03% divergent in viewpoint. I'd rather see a wildcard in that mix.

So I don't really back Trump as a candidate except for that last scenario, but I totally dig his politically incorrect shake-em-up style.

I'm a Cruz Dawg, to be honest.
