I agree that I am surprised that neither Rubio (perky) nor especially Kasich (using big gestures like he was really campaigning), favored by the media and the crowd, respectively, didn’t get a bump. Maybe those surveyed had more of a clue than the worst-case scenario would have it.

I can remember Luntz, Karl Rove and Dick Morris explaining the Romney landslide.

Only one of the top four in the poll has ever held office and that guy As if holding a political office is a resume enhancement? Not in these times.

Can you imagine how much higher Cruz would be in the polls if FOX would have given him more exposure

Despite the Trump smokescreen, the electorate is moving in the right direction, much to the great disappointment of the Establishment. I think it's BECAUSE of Trump. He's throwing the GOP off their game and their favorites can't get any traction or press.

As if holding a political office is a resume enhancement? I didn't imply that. It certainly will cause some panty twists and hand wringing at RNC headquarters though. None of THEIR chosen ones are catching on, especially Jebbie.

No. Cruz/? 2016 or, perhaps, ?(not Trump)/Cruz 2016. Cruz is very consistent in his views and decidedly conservative, a principled conservative. Trump is not. Trump is, in the end, for Trump.
