Trump told NBC this morning if he hadn’t been in the debate Fox would have only got like 2 million viewers instead of 24 million. Not only is this yet another of Trumps “look at me” egomaniac statements, it’s just flat out wrong. The “happy hour debate” at 5 PM drew over 6 million viewers - and that wasn’t even in prime time nor did it feature the top tier candidates. No doubt Trump added to the ratings, but the 9 PM debate would have had spectacular numbers with or without him. The amusing thing is this uninformed statement came on the heels of NBC asking him why he is so short on actual plans to accomplish all these outlandish promises he makes.
Trump is just a bunch of bluster. And no, Fox does not need Donald Trump. Fox would like to have Trump on as it is good for ratings, but they don’t need him. On the other hand, Trump really does need Fox. You Trumpsters may not like the questions he got from Kelly, but that is kidstuff compared to what the other networks would do to him if they actually thought he might be a risk of beating Hillary (which they know he isn’t).
Sometimes it surely seems that once something is said, it immediately turns into a lie, doesn’t it?
