How about asking some questions that have some substance

What substance does Trump have? Name some specific plans with actual details?

Please explain to me his plan to make Mexico pay for the wall. The specifics please. And how would he get such a plan through Congress? Please explain to me his plan to build all these "terrific" vet hospitals? What is his proposal in terms of how to fund them, what to cut, etc? Does he still favor taking Iraq's oil? How would he go about doing that? Trump says he is going to win the Hispanic and Black vote, please explain to me Trump's realistic plan to do that? Show me one poll of general election voters (not Republican primary voters) that demonstrate he could win those demographics in an election. How does Trump propose renegotiating trade treaties we are already party too? How, specifically, does he believe he will be able to get China, Mexico, the US Congress to go along.

Geebus, the guy has no history of being an ideological conservative, yet you Trumpsters believe he can do all the stuff he says without even asking for any specifics or detail. This really is a cult of personality going on here, and it is sad to watch.

It's prudent to be skeptical. For decades now, the hapless US citizenry has been thoroughly blued, screwed & tattooed every which way until Sunday.

However, the hour is drawing near. If the media/DC cartel prevail, it really is all over except for the crying. So, at the current moment, Americans - not conservatives or liberals - might have one more shot.

DT (+Cruz) is the only one actually saying the right words. If not him, then who? That's how many of us approach the choice.

It's not like I'm particularly a DT fan, it's because I'm a cartel opponent.

True, but he’s a one trick pony. He doesn’t use new media to push his ideas were to state his plan. He complains they don’t ask him questions about it but he’s free to discuss it at any time. Twitter is a blunt instrument for him to call people “failure,” “loser,” “disgusting,” “horrible,” and other things. If you’re not a billionaire, you automatically fall into that category with him, especially if you disagree with him. The guy is a 24K douche.

Jeez are you clueless. This is a deliberate, brilliant, and do far 100% successful strategy based on dominating social media. All the other candidates do is complain they can’t get attention. Well, HELLO! That is the strategy. And when Fiorina or Paul criticizes Trump, it’s only more fuel for Trump. Holy crap, some of these candidates are thick.

It’s all about the primetime ratings and advertising revenue tonight for Fox News.

If the ratings didn’t drop tonight, Fox wouldn’t have had to do a thing since the advertising contracts wouldn’t be disrupted.

But it’s clear that Fox is really afraid of an audience loss tonight and panicked and called Trump as a result.

And Trump took advantage of their fear of ad $$$ loss.

Why don't you explain with specifics why your friends at Fox didn't want to ask Trump any questions of substance? They asked about his personal endorsement plans, his personal tweets and his company's bankruptcies. Y'all aren't kidding anybody. You don't want the public to hear any of his ideas of substance.

Nope, missing the point. Not about fairness or what shows he’s on—all irrelevant to Trump. It’s about constant dominance of the news cycle and control of social media that exceeds even Obama.

Think anyone else but Trump could have made this happen?

How do you know what happened?

Trump also tweeted he fired Roger Stone, the evidence seems to be contrary to that.

When Trump says Ailes called him, it could just as well be Ailes returning his call - or a call from someone at his campaign to call Trump directly. Trump's blizzard of tweets are often so absurd it is difficult to know what is true and what isn't.

Think anyone else but Trump could have made this happen?

Yes, if Hillary or many of the other major campaigns wanted to speak to Ailes, he would talk to them. They all know each other, it's common courtesy.

Isn’t hat what this debacle was supposed to be about. Finding out what the candidates have in mind? Substantive questions will illicit answer to substantive questions. Gotcha questions detract from both the substance and level of the conversation.

I have asked questions with substance...Trumpers simply can’t answer them.

So, since I support Cruz, should he go out and whine about being largely ignored? Should he call Fox News and whine about the God question? I guess calling the moderators names will mean he is tough like Don?

Poor, Donald, got asked hard questions and now wants “fair” treatment. Kind of like his supporters....you can only ask easy questions.

He is, like his former adviser said, too keen on “yes men”. You must be one of those.

Well if Roger Ailes was able to schnooker, you, what will Vlad Putin and the Ayatollah do to ya?
Well if getting [sic] schnookered is getting a call from an adversary instead of the other way around, I suppose they too would be calling him rather than the other way around.

Why is that a bad thing to you?...Well other than it's Trump and not____?

Maybe Ailes would have called others back—who knows.

Trump got results, and a promise to be treated fairly, which he was not on Thursday night.

Trump is not your cup of tea, I get that, but by 10:30 am this morning, the head of Fox News is putting out a forest fire that could have spiraled out of control for Fox.

And I can only hope, he’s got Wallace, Kelly and Baier in his conference room right now and giving them whatfor.

Trump made that happen. Because of who he is.

And no one else in the GOP could, or even would, have made that happen.
