Sen. Rand Paul (R-Kentucky) is trying to intensify a fight with current Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump.
Paul's campaign on Monday announced a conference call with reporters specifically dedicated to Trump. During that call, Paul slammed the real-estate magnate for conducting a substance-less presidential campaign and making derogatory comments about women.
"The truth telling is bluster, the truth-telling is non-sequitur, self-aggrandizement, but is there really anything substantive coming out of saying that people are fat, people are stupid?" Paul said of Trump.
Calling Trump a "fake conservative," Paul listed off the issues where Trump has agreed with Democrats in the past, including supporting the 2008 bank bailouts, supporting some stricter measures on gun ownership, and saying that a single-payer healthcare system "could have worked."
Paul's broadside caused Trump to respond with one of his own Monday evening. Writing on Twitter, the real-estate developer declared that Paul was "truly weird" and "reminds me of a spoiled brat without a properly functioning brain"

Tweets calling Trump a joke or a clown? Ignore it. He's the front-runner. It comes with the territory. He's got nothing to prove.
Trump is also causing massive dissent with all the Jeb donors. It’s really getting good.
The donations are slowing down massively because of Trump and yet the Jeb campaign expenses are really high. They’re not replacing the money they are spending. And they might be forced to start spending money on advertising and that will really drain their reserves.
That’s exactly why we should be cheering Trump on, because he’s forcing Jeb to expend his resources way before he planned to.
Blah blah blah self-aggrandizing, blah blah blather blah bravado, blah-blah-blah-blah non-sequitur blah...
Yeah, weird!
Rand Paul calling anyone a fake Conservative is just plain laughable.
Trump’s unpredictable flame wars have frozen donations to Jeb Bush.
His donors and campaign staffers sitting around not knowing what to do given they can’t figure out what Trump is going to do next.

The rich donors must be realizing that they will get zip returns on their Jeb bribes.
Are u completely stupid?????...lol...To
get to the gold mine........u have to show some idiots where the shaft starts.........He's building a hotel in front of it.... in peoples minds!!!.
Get it yet???????..The “other” candidates are gonna have to pay rent!!!!!..Trump..(us) WIN!!!... ..gold or not!!!
and you think he is not working for the puppet master why exactly?
He certainly is no outsider. He has been inside the machine for a long, long time now.
He needs to stop the name calling - it’s ruining his really good message!
None of Cruz, Paul, or Lee supported Rubio’s “Gang of 8” amnesty plans.
Here’s Paul’s actual quote on the Gang of 8 plans:
I dont want a new pathway, Paul said, noting that the same pathway would give a better chance of passing immigration reform. He added, “Its important for conservatives that its no new pathway to citizenship, Paul said, proposing that workers get a work visa and go to the back of the line like someone in Mexico City. Get in the same line.”
He needs to CONTINUE with the name calling because it is throwing all of the other campaigns and their donors in disarray (except for Cruz’s).
And it’s forcing the enemy to show their asses much earlier than they wanted to.
Paul was talking trash!
Indeed
“You dont like Cruz or Carson?”
The problem with both men ( and they are really the cream of the crop by a wide margin) is that neither of them are getting any traction, at least not yet.
I guess the problem we face it an “electorate” that doesn’t have two brain cells to rub together. I guess Earl Butz was right about everyone, not just the Blacks.
Trump a spoiled brat? It’s not like he inherited his money. If you worked for your riches, are you spoiled?
Yes, I can see your point...but seems to me the risk is the voters getting sick of it.
Earl Butz, what a comical guy: way above the American people in intellect too.
