RedState’s Erick Erickson’s Description Of RINO Jeb Bush Has People Scratching Their Heads
Tge Politistick ^ | 8/10/15 | Jennifer Burke

Former Florida governor and current 2016 GOP presidential candidate Jeb Bush has failed to get the support of the conservative grassroots base in his quest to become the GOP nominee for the presidency in 2016. In fact, the pro-common core, pro-amnesty candidate Bush has seemed to be jockeying more for the illegal immigrant and Latino vote while outright pushing away the Republican base.

In 2014, Bush indicated that he did not believe the GOP needed conservatives to win White House. While speaking at a Wall Street Journal CEO Council meeting, he said, “I don’t know if I’d be a good candidate or a bad one. I kinda know how a Republican can win, whether it’s me or somebody else – and it has to be much more uplifting, much more positive, much more willing to be… ‘lose the primary to win the general’ without violating your principles. It’s not an easy task, to be honest with you.”

¡Yeb! wants to be the President of North Mexico.

That is what you will be voting for if you vote for him.

Erick Erickson can perform a physical impossibility.

Good analysis of why Trump was dis-invited by Erickson. It appears the Kelly brouhaha was a red herring and was used as a ruse so Erickson could showcase Jeb.

That comment, “lose the primary to win the general,” was to many a slam to the conservative base with the RINO candidate determined to hold strong to his principled beliefs in amnesty and Common Core.

Bush’s seeming contempt for the grassroots conservative base makes the introduction given to him by RedState founder and editor-in-chief Erick Erickson that much more baffling.

I heard Erick Erickson on Herman Cain’s show yesterday. What a little self promoting, name dropping weasel.

Amidst all the hype to promote himself and those luminaries he knows, he goes into this litany of how he contacted the Trump campaign, blah, blah, blah, and didn’t get the answers he deserved, so he (actually said something about RSG not tolerating observant Republicans - those who won’t pledge to vote for THE nominated candidate, blah, blah) disinvited him.

This weasel walks a very thin line between an official political organizer (e.g., with Red State Gathering to which he’s said is “his”), and commentary as a consultant and finally as an on-air personality on WSB radio daily 5-7 PM.

To my mind, something is very wrong here. He’s not on a line; he’s on both sides of it, over and under it. If he is collecting money to run a political event such as RSG as well as doing the other activities, I’d think if I were the FEC I’d be asking WSB what do they think they’re doing?

Erickson is in it for Erickson and when it comes to political advice and consultancy, he’d be last on my list to take seriously.

I think any time he is subbing for Rush - we should boycott. It will hurt Rush’s ratings, but so what?

I heard him on the radio, too. Seems Mr. Erickson was in full-swing damage control. Mr. Erickson’s brand is forever tarnished in my mind.

You’re right. He knows he screwed up......I’ll bet he never subs for Rush again. Rush won’t advertise that, but I bet he won’t.

Does not surprise me! The fix is in, folks. Welcome to the future 2016 Grudge Match! Bush vs. Clinton, or if the Clinton War Machine cannot overcome the heat, it will be Bush vs. Gore Grudge Match.

Yep. Not baffling at all. Erickson has never been more than an opportunistic political entrepreneur.

“What a little self promoting, name dropping weasel.”

Sums him up perfectly (except the “little” part).

As for WSB radio, it puts on the air whatever it thinks will generate the biggest audience and, hence, ad revenue. As an example, WSB is the home base for Clark Howard and Wes Moss, who routinely and soundly advise small investors against trying to time the stock market. On the same day, WSB will air a show (which is a thinly disguised infomercial) hosted by a couple of guys hawking their “can’t miss” scheme for ... timing the market.
