The Real Truth on What Donald Trump Said About Planned Parenthood
CNN | Vanity

Posted on 08/11/2015 8:50:29 AM PDT by ElainaVer

For all those who are listening to Sound Bites on what Donald Trump said on CNN this morning . . here is the truth of his position: "“The problem that I have with Planned Parenthood is the abortion situation. It is like an abortion factory, frankly,” Trump said. “And you can’t have it. And you just shouldn’t be funding it. That should not be funded by the government, and I feel strongly about that.”

When pressed on non-abortion services Planned Parenthood allegedly provides, Trump said, “What I would do when the time came, I’d look at the individual things they do, and maybe some of the individual things they do are good. I know a lot of the things are bad. But certainly the abortion aspect of it should not be funded by government, absolutely.”

Trump continued, “I would look at the good aspects of [Planned Parenthood], and I would also look, because I’m sure they do some things properly and good and that are good for women, and I would look at that, and I would look at other aspects also. But we have to take care of women.”

To me this Trump’s explanation is not satisfactory. Here we have an organization that is responsible for the death of seven million babies and the harvesting of their body parts. Planned Parenthood buildings should all be knocked down with a bulldozer, and memorials to the victims of abortion should be put in their place.

Nope. Nope. We don’t need to listen to what Trump said. All we need to listen to is what the GOP-wing of the Democrat party tells us he said. I've been really surprised that evidently anti-Trump posters didn't even listen to his interview . . and yet they are personally degrading Trump's supporters on his statement. Kinda disappointed because I thought Conservatives were more well read than the Progressives.

Planned Parenthood wouldn’t stay in business doing “other things” for women. Their whole “lifeline” is abortion. They provide killing of kids for bucks. And destroying their mothers in the process. It is a Satanic operation.

One of the post-abortive counseling organizations [for women in regret; costs lots of $$$] in Chicago, btw, is run [almost] entirely by liberals. Is everyone getting the picture?

I see logic is not one of your strong points. You do know all money is fungible. You do know what fungible means.

Chess versus Checkers.

Just ask Jeb Bush, last weeks Poster Boy for not caring about Women’s Health.

Supposedly they do provide other services that are beneficial and don’t involve abortion. At least that’s what I’ve heard. Although...why do we need them and their toxic organization do to anything at all because as Ben Carson said - isn’t that why we have Obamacare?

I’ve always thought that non-abortion services provided by PP are just window dressing to try to cover for their real mission.

That being said - I don’t disagree with Trump.

I personally would fawn over The Chosen One, but when did Jose Mourinho get into the race. He definitely is not a NBC.

You don’t have to think as hard when sentence fragments are used. Its easier to support a position.

Obamacare was suppose to take care of all woman health issues, so why do we need Planned Parenthood

I personally heard Trump on this subject. I was not happy with his discourse at all. I look forward to him amplifying it in the near future, which I'm sure he will.

That was my response to a friend, too. Didn’t we just rip apart the whole existing healthcare system to give everyone access? What went wrong? I love Carson. He’s brilliant. Especially when he sounds like me :)

The problem I have is funding the “good things” is that money is fungible. I really do not want a dime going to the immoral organization.

Trumps response is vague...he basically is saying keep Planned Parenthood for womans reproductive needs and basic health...but remove abortion from the services.

That’s not going to happen no matter how he “looks” at it. The laws allows clearly for fetal stem cell research and there are more than many medical/ research facilities involved in this.

So the laws need to be changed...and nobody’s going to overturn Roe vs. wade without a huge public outcry against that and framed as a “woman’s right issue” rather than that of murdering the unborn.......which we have never seen even today.

I forsee only that they well develop means to extract the unborn fully intact the procedures to dismember them will likely be done at the research facilities....this with the promise of overseeing regulations......which are never adhered to when “Vocabuary” changes mask the reality.

PP gets its profits and thus most of its existence from the abortion side.

President Trump = putting PP out of business

The whole premise of this thread is misleading. Nobody misunderstood what he said.

He’s trying to have both ways. That’s what I find objectionable, coupled with his support of abortion in the past.
