Firestorm erupts over Trump's 'Bible connection'
WND ^ | Joe Kovacs

Posted on 08/11/2015 10:43:47 AM PDT by RoosterRedux

A Christian minister in Florida has ignited a firestorm over his suggestion that God is using Donald Trump as a divine instrument in the 2016 presidential election cycle.

In a column published in Charisma magazine, Jeremiah Johnson of Behold the Man Ministries in Lakeland, Florida, said he was praying several weeks ago “when God began to speak to me concerning the destiny of Donald Trump in America:”

The Holy Spirit spoke to me and said, “Trump shall become My trumpet to the American people, for he possesses qualities that are even hard to find in My people these days. Trump does not fear man nor will he allow deception and lies to go unnoticed. I am going to use him to expose darkness and perversion in America like never before, but you must understand that he is like a bull in a china closet.

Many will want to throw him away because he will disturb their sense of peace and tranquility, but you must listen through the bantering to discover the truth that I will speak through him. I will use the wealth that I have given him to expose and launch investigations searching for the truth. Just as I raised up Cyrus to fulfill My purposes and plans, so have I raised up Trump to fulfill my purposes and plans prior to the 2016 election.

You must listen to the trumpet very closely for he will sound the alarm and many will be blessed because of his compassion and mercy. Though many see the outward pride and arrogance, I have given him the tender heart of a father that wants to lend a helping hand to the poor and the needy, to the foreigner and the stranger.”

Interestingly, I’ve just recently finished reading this part of Daniel and thought about this. I don’t think it was too long after Daniel was thrown into the lion’s den and came out unscathed that Cyrus became king. Daniel was a high official in the realm, his story probably well known at the time, and Cyrus may have been so moved by the account that he decreed the rebuilding of the temple even though he was not a believer.

Not of works, lest any man should boast.

The prophet Samuel was wrong, or in error when he tried to annoint David’s older brother, God corrected him.

The prophet Isaiah was wrong when he told King Hezekiah that he was going to die, then came back to King Hezekiah after King Hezekiah prayed to God to heal him of his sickness.

Hmmm, James 2:16. Never thought of that.

Well, James is not my favorite book, but I do think that generous people are happy people and I want to be happy.

Donald Trump is a nominal Christian from a mainline dead denominational church.

Doesn’t mean God can’t still use him for a specific purpose.

"I find your lack of Faith in the Trump disturbing!"

Good one. :-)

"Firestorm erupts over Trump's 'Bible connection'" will be added to the magazine of truth. Quotes and recordings of men's own words tell the truth about them.

I'd advise all who see what's going on here and abroad to continue getting ready for economic collapse, more attacks against our freedoms and defaults in every level of government. This, only from a reading of the obvious vulgar writings on the political wall and from current demographics.* Scott Walker is the only candidate who has much of a record of cutting big government spending in the face of evil from the government faction that saturates the speech of both political parties.

If we really want to understand we need to recognize that in God's great mercy ON US...he just may be giving us another chance...though we will never be the country we were unless we have leadership that protects this nation above all others first and foremost.

I fear we have far too many bad people in our nation, from foreign countries, who will still be our demise if we don't stop them early. They already have a foothold in most every community and that not for our good.

The bible calls it trying to live a blameless life.

I forgive Ronald Reagan, my parents, my self, Donald Trump for getting a divorce...... Time to move on.

I don’t think I have a favorite, but I tend to stay in the New Testament becasue that is where the revelation of the New Covenant of the grace of Jesus Christ is revealed which the prophets of old wished they could see. I love Romans because it is the definite statement and explanation of the gospel of the grace of Jesus Christ which so many miss.

I find that I love the book I’m reading currently. God blesses me and speaks to me and I learn so much even when I think I might not. For instance, right now I’m reading Daniel, which amazingly fits right into the discussion here.

James is probably my least favorite book becasue it seems to, but doesn’t, contradict the gospel of grace that we are no longer under the law but under grace and the new covenant. But I am learning that James is actually dealing with how one’s life affects others, which is not to be confused with our righteousness as a gift before God. It helps to remember that.

:)

He didn’t confess his sins

Yes he did...

Good one.

After my initial excitement about Trump livening things up, I was surprised to find myself rooting for him more and more, loving not just what he said but how he said it.

I’ve come to place where I think he represents as much an attack on the politically correct (spirit of anti-Christ IMO) conventional wisdom of our culture as a political endeavor.

Ok Folks, call me names but I agree with this gentlemen. Just like I sense the spirit of the Anti-Christ in Obama when he appeared before us the first time. I warned my family about him, but they ignored me and now look. I feel the opposite with Donald Trump. I felt that God is using Donald for a reason and I feel that very strongly.

Ok Donald may not be a Christian who perhaps do not attend Church ever Sunday, or raise his hands up in the air and shouts Hallelujah. Remember if God can use a Donkey for crying out loud or Nebuchadnezzar, he can use anyone including Donald Trump.

O wait, you want a Christian to run like Jimmy Carter or Mike Huckabee? You are aware they are part of the establishment - do you?

God uses imperfect people for his will. Do any of you think it is a coincidence that Donald Trump and Ted Cruz are on the forefront in the political scene. Something is coming down, and God is planting all his chess pieces around. That tells me God is planting a fearless leader to help us when this nation collapses. He heard our cries for the past what 7 years.

I will say this the more Donald surges the more the establishment is threaten. They will try to either take him out or Obama (plus the rest of the establishment) will create a chaos to postpone the election and keep Obama in. We shall see.

As for Melania, who is saying she is a porn star. Yes she was a GQ Model but that is not a porn star for crying out loud.

I think some of you are spreading false rumors about her and Donald. I know where this started:

Nebuchadnezzar showed that a long term grass diet might be a remedy for pride. Let the proud mow the lawns, eh?

Isaiah prophecy of King Cyrus was about 150 years before he was even born.

This is what God had to say about him in Isaiah 44:28

That saith of Cyrus, he is my shepherd, and shall perform all my pleasure: even saying to Jerusalem, Thou shalt be built, and to thy temple, Thy foundations shall be laid.

But used more than one King of Persha to free and help Israel.
