Firestorm erupts over Trump's 'Bible connection'
WND ^ | Joe Kovacs

Posted on 08/11/2015 10:43:47 AM PDT by RoosterRedux

A Christian minister in Florida has ignited a firestorm over his suggestion that God is using Donald Trump as a divine instrument in the 2016 presidential election cycle.

In a column published in Charisma magazine, Jeremiah Johnson of Behold the Man Ministries in Lakeland, Florida, said he was praying several weeks ago “when God began to speak to me concerning the destiny of Donald Trump in America:”

The Holy Spirit spoke to me and said, “Trump shall become My trumpet to the American people, for he possesses qualities that are even hard to find in My people these days. Trump does not fear man nor will he allow deception and lies to go unnoticed. I am going to use him to expose darkness and perversion in America like never before, but you must understand that he is like a bull in a china closet.

Many will want to throw him away because he will disturb their sense of peace and tranquility, but you must listen through the bantering to discover the truth that I will speak through him. I will use the wealth that I have given him to expose and launch investigations searching for the truth. Just as I raised up Cyrus to fulfill My purposes and plans, so have I raised up Trump to fulfill my purposes and plans prior to the 2016 election.

You must listen to the trumpet very closely for he will sound the alarm and many will be blessed because of his compassion and mercy. Though many see the outward pride and arrogance, I have given him the tender heart of a father that wants to lend a helping hand to the poor and the needy, to the foreigner and the stranger.”

Him standing up during his coranation between two Greek collums was the clue, and sign that he is not good.

I’ll let you all in on something there. It’s no secret. I’m not a Chrstian. I’m not Jewish. I’m a Noachide. Contrary to an old libel, repentance is very important to Orthodox Jewish people. They do repent. Repentance is important to me.

Also not preaching about what Donald should do with respect to religion. He may do as he likes. But if he publicly states his belief in his own words for political purposes, that’s what should be known. He’s a candidate for the presidency or is at least offering himself and Hillary as the two exclusive choices. A large portion of Republicans (including myself), because of our beliefs, will refuse to vote for either him or Hillary. We’ll turn away from politics, pray, and allow voters to reap what they sow.

Reminds me of a guy I once knew. He said his secretary came into his office and told him a man wanted to see and that the man had told him God sent him to him. My friend said “Wow! God sent someone to me!”

The man came into his office and said “God told me you were going to give me $100.”

My friend said “I have no doubt that God said that to you. But He has yet to confirm it with me.”

Can’t beat Romans, especially Ch. 8, which follows Ch. 7 — the one that says “We still have a very frustrating problem”; but Rom. 8 says “Problem solved! Here’s how, here’s why!”

James tells me to watch my mouth, ask for wisdom, get close to God, resist the devil.

My favorite book, though, is Hebrews. It is the one that I would have if I could have only one, because it wonderfully merges the Old and New Testaments (plus, if I could only have “one Book”, I’d still have two, having memorized Ephesians completely)!

This is a little off the subject I guess, but occurs to me how the prophetic books of the Old Testament almost all were either written after Israel/Judah’s captivity or about the captivity and beyond.

I mean, how many years was Israel a nation in Israel before the Babylonian captivity? Let’s see, Abraham to David was about 1000 years and David to Christ was about 1000 years.

So subtract 490 years after the Babylonian captivity and you get about 510 years from David to the Babylonian captivity.

I don’t know the time between Abraham and Israel in Egypt. But add that to their 430 years in Egypt and subtract from 1000 and you get the time Israel was in the land of Israel before David.

So the time Israel was in the land of Israel before David plus 510 years is about how long Israel was an independent nation. That’s a long time when I think of America.

Anyway, it is interesting that so much of the prophetic books were written at or near the end of Israel’s independence as a nation.

Just a side note here.....But for far too long so many of our leaders and men in general in this country have lost the very substances which make them men for a good part. Trump is showing men who have forgotten how to stand and take the hits because you believe what you’re doing....even if wrong you have to respect an individual when they stand strong to what they believe...even when you disagree.

One thing I know is it’s been hard to respect men over all because so many have forgotten those traits of what was once American’s strong men....they let the press, woman, political correctness and agendas remold them into something they are not...and it doesn’t fit them.

Trump simply doesn’t care...he is who he is...and that’s refreshing to see in a man no matter if one thinks he’s crude and bombastic.... I’ll take that any day to the panty wasted politicians we see every day!

he’s also showing men it’s time to be the men they are and stop listening to womans nonsense, political correctness and all that’s robbed our strong men from the men they once were.

I recall a Pastor stating just that in a sermon one time...speaking to the men he ended with...”You let all this be taken from you......TAKE IT BACK!

He also mentioned that their wives might give them some grief but they’ll “respect” you non the less.

Woman cannot love a man they can’t respect.

God uses all of us, as a willing slave or an unwilling instrument. The Spirit blows where It will.

=============================~~~~~=

Good post.

How many of us have been praying for God to expose the corruption in the GOPe ...the Dimparty....govt.... the media.....big money that controls all 4?

God uses who He wants and never is it the one people would pick to be used by God. I am just observing and waiting to see what happens at this point but I am one of those who has praying this for a long time.

Good one.

Yes, Satan has attacked our culture by attacking masculinity and true femininity. The Women’s Movement was probably the single most destructive phenomenon of the last 125 years or so. It has lead to the breakdown of marriage and the family, the infanticide of 70+ million unborn, women (and men) confused about who they are, a void in leadership, and probably the onslaught of homosexuality.

From a previous post...

It is sad that our popular culture and convoluted conventional wisdom has succeeded in confusing women into thinking ROLE equals VALUE. Women know intuitively that isn’t true, but the devil has once again deceived them into taking the apple from the Performance Tree. She’s now like a cat trying to be a dog and thinks she has to perform and compete with men to be happy. She has never been unhappier.

God made women to love and care for people, especially their families, children and husband. THAT is where her happiness is. She is designed make a happy, beautiful home, raise her children, emulate her husband as her head, and be loved by him. Generally, she is not designed to run things except for her family. Her value is measureless and her great value is not in her performance but in who she is.

Running the world should generally be left to men who are designed to do so. Men and women are designed for different roles but they are of equal value.

In the meantime, I am sick to death of the shield women have had “because they are a woman.” To me, if you’re going to step into the ring with a man, then you get what’s coming to you. And men need to reclaim their leadership roles and strength as men, which is what Trump also represents.

He winnows and judges at the final judgement I think. Not now. There will be surprises in Heaven. Here, the rain falls on the just and unjust alike.
