CNN Host Can’t Understand Why Carly Doesn’t Like Obamacare Since She Had Cancer. So She Schooled Him

In an interview with CNN’s Jake Tapper, GOP presidential candidate Carly Fiorina discussed how she feels about crony capitalism.

Tapper asked why Fiorina, a breast cancer survivor, would want to repeal Obamacare – as one of its stated goals was to cover pre-existing conditions.

He said:

“Didn’t your experience [with cancer] show you that the pre-existing condition part of Obamacare is crucial, that there are so many people out there like you, but without your means, who wouldn’t be alive if it were not for the part of the law that says insurance companies have to take on people with pre-existing conditions?”

But Fiorina didn’t feel Obamacare was making good on its word:

Fiorina: “I absolutely endorse that goal–I did at the time. But guess what? None of that has worked. Demonstrably, if you look at the results of Obamacare…health insurance premiums are up almost 40% now.

That isn’t helping anyone with cancer, I can assure you that–”

Tapper: “But the expansion of the pool allows the insurance companies to pay for the people with pre-existing conditions.”

Fiorina: “…Who helped write Obamacare? The health insurance companies, and the drug companies. And guess what’s happening? Those companies are consolidating. That’s called crony capitalism.”

Fiorina’s statement regarding increasing premiums is accurate.

According to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Blue Cross and Blue Shield have allegedly submitted double-digit rate increase requests for 2016.

Breitbart reports:

“23 percent in Illinois, 25 percent in North Carolina, 30 percent in Maryland, 31 percent in Oklahoma…54 percent in Minnesota.”

According to CNN Money:

“UnitedHealth has outperformed the broader stock market by a wide margin since the Affordable Care Act, or Obama Care, was signed into law…

The other four members of the so-called Big Five health insurers Aetna, Cigna, Humana, and Anthem–have all beaten the S&P 500 over the past 5 years or so as well.”

As Carly Fiorina enjoys a bump in the polls, her message is beginning to be heard by a larger audience.

Only time will tell just how much her outlook will resonate with the average, American voter.

Sure she's an open-borders amnesty shill who supports the immigration-fueled transformation of our homeland into a third-world mess — but she's female and well-spoken in interviews.

“Fiorina: “I absolutely endorse that goal–I did at the time. But guess what? None of that has worked.”

So she was for Obama care and holds the GOPe position (which they keep obfuscated) that they can do Obama Care better.

Spot on. And like Ben Carson, while I don’t want her as President or Vice President, perhaps she might have a role in a Republican Administration.

She was for ObamaCare before she was against it.

Sounds familiar.

Sounds like a debate I had with a democrat in person.

the democrat couldn’t believe why I didn’t want “something for free” , obamacare.

I wanted to say “ government healthcare is terrible quality and no choice. In the free market you get to choose your doctor and treatments and there is competition which allows much better quality of healthcare .

I didn’t get a chance to say anything and she got me and called me a low info voter. LOL

Just from a communications standpoint, she’s REALLY, REALLY good at handling these MSM interviewers. Like Newt…didn’t want him as president but man, he could demolish Lib Media talking points. VP for Cruz or Rubio..I’d go for.

A friend of mine who used to work for HP in New Jersey once called me a few weeks before Thanksgiving. He said there were armed guards patrolling the facility, and the reason was because they had something like ten million dollars worth of HP printer cartridges sitting in tractor trailers in the parking lot ready to be delivered to retailers in the NYC area for the Christmas rush.

Let her have her say. She rips through liberal network hacks like they are nursery school infants….and that’s exactly what their infantile uneducated views reveal them to be.

Not sure I’d vote for her, don’t like amnesty or those rotten H1-B visas, which have already cost my family of homegrown techies innumerable bucks.

But CARLY absolutely ROCKS as a GOP smart person. Perhaps most importantly, standing next to Hillary, she would make Clinton look like the used up, idea-free, crook that she is.

How could Clinton possibly respond to this straightforward, no-holds-barred “other woman?”

Obamacare did not address the issue of preexisting conditions, there were laws already in effect that protected the prior insured who lost their coverage and those who had no jobs and coverage who subsequently became employed and acquired coverage.

The notion that someone who had coverage and lost their job and insurance and had a pre-existing condition would not be afforded coverage in the future because of that condition is a blatant out and out lie........
